Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all transfers between the two. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first followed by the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Visit to the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Visit to the West Bank. Morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Continuation from Esna.
Then proceed to Aswan, where the overnight stay will take place.

Day 5:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.

The ship features a welcoming reception and a total of 72 beautiful exterior cabins, spread across several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals. The offering is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites guests to browse and shop. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² and feature a bathroom with bathtub/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and feature a small round window.

Single cabin

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

JAZ Makadina

Location

Built in Moroccan style, this hotel belonging to the renowned JAZ Hotel Group is located directly on the private long sandy beach of the popular and idyllic Makadi Bay, with a beautiful view of the coast. Hurghada Airport is approx. 30 km away. The hotel's own reef invites you to snorkel and dive in the breathtaking underwater world of the Red Sea. In the immediate vicinity is Souk Makadi with numerous shops, restaurants, and bars that invite you to stroll. The aqua park is approx. 3 km from the hotel.

Facilities

The JAZ Makadina is set in a beautiful garden and features 270 rooms spread across several small buildings. In addition, the hotel is equipped with an inviting reception, several shops, a buffet restaurant, an à-la-carte restaurant (for a fee), and various bars. For culinary variety, in addition to show cooking in the hotel restaurant, there is the "Dine Around" concept of Souk Makadi.
In the beautifully and widely designed gardens is the pool landscape with two swimming pools (one heated in winter) and a separate children's pool, as well as a pool bar and a beach bar. Additionally, there are two outdoor jacuzzis (adults only) in the outdoor area.

The friendly furnished Double Superior rooms (DSU) are approx. 38 m² and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), air conditioning, coffee/tea maker (daily free refill), minibar (for a fee), safe (included), balcony or terrace. A large bottle of water is provided in the room daily (free of charge).
Also bookable with pool view (DSP), side sea view (D2S), sea view (DMU), or for single occupancy (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).

Family Suite Superior

Suite Superior

The Superior Suites (SU2) feature similar amenities to the Double Superior rooms, are more spacious (approx. 47 m²), and have an additional seating/sleeping area separated from the rest of the room by a curtain.
Also bookable as a Deluxe Double Room (DD2). In this room, the seating/sleeping area is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door.

Family Room Deluxe

The Family Rooms Deluxe (2DF) have the same amenities as the Family Rooms Superior. The sleeping area for children is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door.

The spacious (approx. 56 m²) and elegant Junior Suites (J2S) offer, with the same amenities as the Double Superior, a queen-size bed, a separate living area, and 2 televisions. The Junior Suites are 56 m². They offer a variety of magnificent views and are luxuriously furnished.
