Travel information

Combined product of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outward flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

Your chosen travel package has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship always follows the program for seven days. The preliminary and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Route Description

Embarkation: Thursday. The route may vary depending on the embarkation day.
Route:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Visit the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, optional balloon excursion (can be booked locally).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Visit the West Bank. After breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Sailing from Esna.
Continue to Aswan, where you will spend the night.
Lunch and dinner, and overnight on board.
Day 5:
After breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then an opportunity to visit a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6:
Opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Sail to Kom Ombo with a visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Sail to Esna and visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3). Overnight on board.

The ship has a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant serves delicious dishes. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² and have a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
Cabins are also available for single occupancy (K1 or KA1).

Economy Cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole window.

Single Occupancy Cabin

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

Built in Moroccan style, the hotel belonging to the renowned JAZ Hotel group is located directly on the long private sandy beach of the popular and idyllic Makadi Bay, with beautiful views of the coast. Hurghada Airport is approx. 30 km away. The hotel's own reef invites you to snorkel and dive in the breathtaking underwater world of the Red Sea. In the immediate vicinity is the Souk Makadi with numerous shops, restaurants, and bars that invite you to stroll. The Aquapark is approx. 3 km from the hotel.

Facilities

The JAZ Makadina is nestled in beautiful gardens and features 270 rooms spread across several small buildings within the complex. The hotel is also equipped with a welcoming reception, several shops, a buffet restaurant, an à la carte restaurant (for a fee), and various bars. In addition to show cooking in the hotel restaurant, the "Dine Around" concept in Souk Makadi offers culinary variety.
The beautifully and spaciously designed garden area features a pool landscape with two swimming pools (one heated in winter), a separate children's pool, a pool bar, and a beach bar. Two outdoor jacuzzis (adults only) are also located in the outdoor area.
Sun loungers, mattresses, parasols, and towels are provided free of charge by the pool and on the beach.

The tastefully decorated Double Superior rooms (DSU) are approx. 38 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), air conditioning, coffee/tea maker (refilled daily free of charge), minibar (for a fee), safe (included), balcony, or terrace. A large bottle of water is provided daily in the room (free of charge).
Also available with pool view (DSP), side sea view (D2S), sea view (DMU), or for single occupancy (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).

Family Suite Superior

The Family Suites (F2U) have the same amenities as the Double Rooms but are slightly more spacious (approx. 47 m²) and feature an additional sitting/sleeping area separated by a curtain.

The Suite Superior rooms (SU2), with similar amenities to the Double Superior rooms, are more spacious (approx. 47 m²) and feature an additional sitting/sleeping area separated by a curtain.
Also available as Double Deluxe rooms (DD2). In these rooms, the sitting/sleeping area is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door.

Family Room Deluxe

The Family Rooms Deluxe (2DF) have the same amenities as the Family Rooms Superior. The sleeping area for children is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door.
