Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Sightseeing on the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, the Karnak and Luxor temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Sightseeing on the West Bank. Morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Continue from Esna.
Then continue to Aswan, where the overnight stay takes place.

Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to browse and explore. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole.

Located directly on the beautiful, long sandy beach of the idyllic Makadi Bay, you will find the popular Iberotel Makadi Beach Hotel. Experience the colorful underwater world of the Red Sea. The hotel's own reef grows in places right up to the shore and offers excellent conditions for diving and snorkeling. The Makadi Souk is only a few meters away from the hotel, where you can look for a souvenir or enjoy Oriental dishes in one of the nice restaurants. Hurghada is approx. 35 km to the north.

Facilities

The spacious complex with two-story residential units that stretch along the pool and garden landscape to the beach leaves nothing to be desired. The hotel has 313 rooms, an inviting lobby with reception, Fun Pub, and shops and boutiques. A main restaurant, two à-la-carte restaurants, and an Oriental restaurant provide for your culinary well-being. Other à-la-carte restaurants are available to guests at Madinat Makadi for a fee.
In the extensive outdoor area, there is a swimming pool (can be heated in winter) and a swimming pool with an adjacent children's pool and waterfall, a sun terrace, and a pool bar and pool restaurant. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge at the beach and pool.

The newly bookable Schauinsland-Reisen-Original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Superior double rooms and feature a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be on the top floor of the hotel, offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.
