Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most economical available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Visit to the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor Temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Visit to the West Bank. Morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening, sail to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Continue sailing from Esna.
Afterwards, continue to Aswan, where the overnight stay will take place.

Day 5:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

The ship features a welcoming reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides for your culinary needs with delicious dishes. The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins but are located on the lower decks and feature a small round window.

Located directly on the beautiful long sandy beach of the idyllic Makadi Bay, the popular hotel Iberotel Makadi Beach is found. Experience the colorful underwater world of the Red Sea. The hotel's own reef grows in places up to the shore and offers excellent diving and snorkeling conditions. Just a few meters from the hotel is the Makadi Souk, where you can look for souvenirs or enjoy oriental cuisine in one of the nice restaurants. Hurghada is approx. 35 km to the north.

Facilities

The spacious resort with two-story units, which extend along the pool and garden landscape to the beach, leaves nothing to be desired. The hotel features 313 rooms, a welcoming lobby with reception, Fun Pub, shops, and boutiques. Culinary needs are taken care of by a main restaurant, two à-la-carte restaurants, and an oriental restaurant. Further à-la-carte restaurants are available to guests at Madinat Makadi for a fee.
In the extensive outdoor area, there is a swimming pool (heatable in winter), a swimming pool with an adjacent children's pool and waterfall, a sun terrace, a pool bar, and a pool restaurant. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge at the beach and pool.
