Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival date and the embarkation date. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 a.m. (optional, can be booked locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then return to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. The ship then continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
The ship then continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modern outside cabins distributed over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise have the same facilities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same facilities as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may be without a French balcony and without a seating area, instead having a non-opening window.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot drinks. Lunch and dinner include two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person.

Spend the best time of the year in the beautiful grounds of the Albatros Palace Resort. This very spacious holiday resort is located directly on its own sandy beach with a house reef. Here, you can experience the beauty of the Red Sea while diving and snorkeling. It is about 18 km to the center of Hurghada and approx. 11 km to the airport.

Facilities

Organize your holiday with numerous activities, then relax in the wellness area and enjoy international delicacies in the various restaurants. The appealing upper-category hotel consists of a main building and several side buildings, in which the total of 621 rooms are distributed. In the luxurious reception area, the hotel offers a reception with a spacious lobby, a hairdresser/beauty salon (for a fee), a shopping arcade, and an ATM. Six restaurants with Asian and Italian cuisine, among others, various bars, cafes, and an oriental pub delight the palate. In the spacious outdoor area, there is a large, lagoon-like pool landscape with various pools (1 of which is heated from November to April) as well as a separate fun area for children with slides and fountains (1 heatable children's pool). The price of 75 € for adults and 38 € for children up to 11 years, besides daily free entry including snacks and soft drinks, also includes the transfer from/to the accommodation hotel.
