Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all transfers between locations. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Embarkation takes place on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon cruise to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and cruise to Kom Ombo, where you have free time at your disposal.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visiting a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast box is included.

Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then a visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo (1,2,3).
Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.

Day 7:
At 5 AM, hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on-site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, the Karnak Temple as well as the Luxor Temple (1,2,3).

The Nile cruise ship of the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain features a total of 77 exterior cabins spread across various decks. Furthermore, there is a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with pool and bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Beach Albatros Resort

Location

Spend a wonderful holiday with a direct beach location at the popular Beach Albatros Resort of the renowned Pickalbatros hotel chain. Enjoy the view of the beautiful Red Sea and let yourself be enchanted. The resort is located directly on a fine-grained sandy beach and is considered particularly family-friendly. It is about 17 km to the center of Hurghada and about 11 km to the airport.

Facilities

This particularly family-friendly resort features 678 rooms distributed across a main building and several bungalows. Upper floors can be comfortably reached via five elevators. The lobby area offers a reception and a lobby bar. There are four different buffet restaurants ("L'Asiatique"-Asian, "Le Marche"-international, "Culina"-seafood, "Sidi Ali"-Oriental cuisine), an à-la-carte restaurant, a shisha corner (for a fee), various bars, as well as a hairdresser and boutiques. The "Dolce Vita Lounge Bar," newly opened in summer 2023, delights guests with a luxurious atmosphere and delicious cocktails. The outdoor area includes a pool landscape with a total of 9 swimming pools (some can be heated in winter), four of which have an integrated children's area, one children's pool, 13 slides for adults, and 9 slides for children, providing plenty of water fun. Bungalow Garden View

The Bungalow Garden View (BG2) rooms are approx. 30 m² in size and are equipped with one double bed or two single beds, shower/WC, tiled floor, air conditioning, telephone, safe (included), satellite TV, mini-fridge (1 bottle of water per person per day included), electric kettle, and balcony or terrace.
Additionally bookable as Type I room (BGI/DEI) at a special price and with limited availability.

The bungalows are identical in size and equipment to the Bungalow Garden View rooms, but the view may vary (BU/B2A/B1B).

The Double Superior Pool View rooms (DSP) are equipped similarly to the Bungalow Garden View rooms but are larger (approx. 36 m²) and feature a pool view. These rooms may be located in the main building or in the annexes.

The Double Rooms Sea View (approx. 24 m², DM) have the same equipment as the Bungalow Garden View rooms, additionally feature a sea view, and are located in the main building.

Super-Saver Room

The Super-Saver rooms (SSZ) have the same equipment as the Bungalow Garden View rooms, are distributed throughout the hotel complex, and have limited availability.

The Family Rooms (DF2) have the same equipment as the Bungalow Garden View rooms, but are larger (approx. 48 m²), consist of 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, and a balcony or terrace.

Suite Sea View

These double rooms are approx. 28 m² in size and equipped with air conditioning, TV, shower/WC, and a balcony or terrace with a garden view (DD2/DD3).
