Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must arrive in Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Sightseeing on the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m., hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor Temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Sightseeing on the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Continue sailing from Esna.
Then continue to Aswan, where the overnight stay also takes place.
Lunch, dinner, and overnight on board.
Day 5:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Aswan Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Followed by an opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6:
Opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Sail to Kom Ombo with a visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Continue sailing to Esna and visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3). Overnight on board.

Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship features a welcoming reception and a total of 72 beautiful exterior cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals. The facilities are complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² in size and feature a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins but are located on the lower decks and feature a small round window.

Cabin for single occupancy

Same equipment as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

Spend a wonderful holiday with a direct beach location at the popular Beach Albatros Resort, part of the renowned Pickalbatros hotel chain. Enjoy the view of the beautiful Red Sea and let yourself be enchanted. The resort is situated directly on a fine-grained sandy beach and is considered particularly family-friendly. It is about 17 km to the center of Hurghada and about 11 km to the airport.

Facilities

This particularly family-friendly resort features 678 rooms spread across a main building and several bungalows. Upper floors are easily accessible via five elevators. The lobby area offers a reception and a lobby bar. Guests can enjoy four different buffet restaurants ("L'Asiatique"-Asian, "Le Marche"-International, "Culina"-Seafood, "Sidi Ali"-Oriental cuisine), an à-la-carte restaurant, a shisha corner (for a fee), various bars, as well as a hairdresser and boutiques. The "Dolce Vita Lounge Bar," newly opened in summer 2023, delights guests with a luxurious atmosphere and delicious cocktails. In the outdoor area, the pool landscape comprises a total of 9 swimming pools (some can be heated in winter), four of which have an integrated children's area, a children's pool, 13 slides for adults, and 9 slides for children, ensuring plenty of water fun. The bungalows with garden view (BG2) are approx. 30 m² in size and are equipped with a double bed or two single beds, shower/WC, tiled floors, air conditioning, telephone, safe (included), satellite TV, mini-fridge (1 bottle of water per person per day included), kettle, and a balcony or terrace.
Additionally bookable as Type I room (BGI/DEI) at a special price and limited availability.

The bungalows are identical in size and equipment to the bungalows with garden view, but the view may vary (BU/B2A/B1B).

The superior double rooms with pool view (DSP) are equipped like the bungalow with garden view, but are larger (approx. 36 m²) and have a pool view. The rooms can be located in the main building or in the annex buildings.

The double rooms with sea view (approx. 24 m², DM) have the same equipment as the bungalow with garden view, additionally feature a sea view, and are located in the main building.
Also bookable for single use (DEM).

Super saver room

The super saver rooms (SSZ) feature the same equipment as the bungalow with garden view, are located throughout the hotel complex, and have limited availability.

The suites with sea view (S2M) have the same equipment as the bungalow with garden view but are more spacious (approx. 48 m²) with a living/bedroom area and a separate bedroom. The rooms are located in the main building.

Deluxe double room (HRGA05)

These double rooms are approx. 28 m² in size and equipped with air conditioning, TV, shower/WC, and a balcony or terrace with a view of the garden (DD2/DD3). Optionally bookable without a specific view (DDA), with pool view and slightly smaller at approx. 24 m² (DPB), sea-facing (approx. 24 m², X2M), or with a sea view (approx. 24 m², DDM).
