Travel information

Combination package featuring a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must arrive in Luxor. If the hotel is booked first followed by the Nile cruise, the return flight must depart from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. Pre- and post-cruise hotel stays depend on your arrival and embarkation days. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Embarkation takes place on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
In the morning after breakfast, excursion to West Thebes
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Medinet Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sailing to Kom Ombo, where you will have free time.
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast box is included.

The Nile cruise ship from the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain features a total of 77 outside cabins distributed across various decks. Furthermore, there is a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Location

Spend a wonderful holiday right on the beach in the popular Beach Albatros Resort, part of the renowned Pickalbatros hotel chain. Enjoy the view of the beautiful Red Sea and let yourself be enchanted. The holiday resort is located directly on a fine-grained sandy beach and is considered particularly family-friendly. It is about 17 km to the center of Hurghada and approx. 11 km to the airport.

Accommodation

This particularly family-friendly resort features 678 rooms distributed across a main building and several bungalows. Upper floors are comfortably accessible via five elevators. The lobby offers a reception and a lobby bar. There are four different buffet restaurants ("L'Asiatique"-Asian, "Le Marche"-international, "Culina"-seafood, "Sidi Ali"-oriental cuisine, one à la carte restaurant, a shisha corner (for a fee), various bars, as well as a hairdresser and boutiques. The "Dolce Vita Lounge Bar," newly opened in summer 2023, delights guests with its luxurious atmosphere and delicious cocktails. Bungalow Garden View

The Bungalows Garden View (BG2) are approx. 30 m² in size and equipped with a double bed or two single beds, shower/WC, tiled floors, air conditioning, telephone, safe (included), satellite TV, mini-fridge (1 bottle of water per person per day included), electric kettle, and balcony or terrace.
Additionally bookable as Type I room (BGI/DEI) at a special price and with limited availability.

The Double Room Sea View (approx. 24 m², DM) has the same equipment as the Bungalow Garden View, plus a sea view, and is located in the main building.
Also bookable for single use (DEM).

Super Saver Room

The Super Saver Rooms (SSZ) have the same equipment as the Bungalow Garden View, are distributed throughout the hotel complex, and have limited availability.

Suite Sea View
