Travel Information

Combined product of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship will always be for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay in the hotel depends on your arrival day and embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Route

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Temple of Kom Ombo, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 am (optional, bookable locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) including a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then, visit to the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca sailing on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
In the early morning at 3:30 am, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package included.
Then, we head back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
Then, the ship sails on to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There, you can optionally attend a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked locally).
Day 8:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed with a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and sip on cool drinks from the three onboard bars. Additionally, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. From Winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests onboard. To make your vacation perfect, relax on the sun deck on the loungers or cool off in the pool while enjoying the breathtaking views of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished Suites (S2) are approximately 24 sqm and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony. Also available for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the Suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks. The Royal Suites also have a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The Single Suites (S1) are approximately 13 sqm and otherwise have the same amenities as the Suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The Economy Suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) with otherwise the same amenities as the Suites, and may have a non-opening window instead of a French balcony and seating area.

Built in a Nubian style, the Sheraton Miramar Resort invites you to relax and unwind. The beautiful hotel complex extends over nine small islands, where the various hotel buildings are spread out. The island landscape is connected by wooden bridges. Surrounded by crystal-clear lagoons and beautiful sandy beaches, the location creates a very special atmosphere that immediately evokes a holiday mood. The hotel is located about 25 km north of Hurghada, just a few minutes' drive from the center of El Gouna with its various shops, restaurants, and bars. For a fee, you can use the regularly scheduled boat and bus shuttle. Hurghada Airport is about 40 km away.

Superior Double Room with Pool or Lagoon View

The comfortably furnished rooms (DSU) have been freshly renovated and are approximately 38 sqm. The rooms feature a walk-in shower, WC, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning, telephone, LCD TV, minibar (daily refilled with soft drinks), coffee and tea maker, safe, and a balcony or terrace with a view of the hotel's lagoon. Also available as a double room for single occupancy (DEU). (Also bookable under HRGA16 with SL2/SL1 or as Beachfront (BF2/BF1)).

Premium Double Room with Partial Sea View

The rooms (P2D) feature a walk-in shower, WC, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning, telephone, LCD TV, minibar (daily refilled with soft drinks), coffee and tea maker, seating area, safe, and a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a partial sea view and have been renovated. (Additionally bookable under HRGA16 with PDZ/PSD.)

Beachfront Deluxe Room

The freshly renovated Beachfront Deluxe Rooms (BF2) offer the same amenities as the double rooms but are located in the first row to the beach. Also available for single occupancy (BF1).

The Family Rooms (DF2) offer the same amenities as the double rooms but consist of two rooms with a connecting door.

Superior Suite (HRGA16)

The Superior Suites (SU2) are similar in amenities to the Superior Double Rooms, but do not have a walk-in shower and are larger at approximately 42 sqm. Also bookable for single use (SU1).

Junior Suite

The Junior Suite (JS2) offers the same amenities as the double rooms, but is more spacious (approx. 52 sqm) and has an open living area. Also available for single occupancy (JS1).

The main restaurant "Miramar" offers breakfast (7-10:30 am) and dinner (6:00 PM - 9:30 PM), both buffet style. Lunch is served at the "Miramar" or "Waves" restaurant. Local beer, local spirits, and local wines, soft drinks, ice cream, tea, mineral water, and coffee are included around the clock at the respective open bar. Drinks in the minibar are also included (daily refilling of soft drinks). ATTENTION: When booking Ultra All Inclusive, the Club Package is not included. You must book the meals according to the program for the Club Package to be included.

Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program offers guests with half board, full board, or all-inclusive a special culinary experience. Guests can dine at participating restaurants in other hotels – at no extra cost for the food (drinks excluded). Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer multiple times: 1x for stays of four nights or more, up to 3x for five to seven nights, and up to 4x for eight nights or more.
