Travel information

Experience the legendary beauty of Egypt – on an unforgettable Nile cruise full of history, culture, and breathtaking views, followed by a relaxing break by the Red Sea. The Nile cruise on board the MS Lady Carol always departs on Thursdays, with hotel accommodation provided in the most affordable available room category. All transfers and the classic excursion package are included in the price.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The one-night pre-stay and the six-night post-stay take place in the booked hotel. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Embarkation: Thursday
The itinerary may vary depending on the day of embarkation.
Itinerary:.
1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3) Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
Visit to the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m. hot air balloon trip (optional, can be booked locally).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
3rd Day:
Visit to the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
4th Day:
Continue sailing from Esna.
Then continue to Aswan, where the overnight stay will take place.
Lunch, dinner, and overnight on board.
5th Day:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
6th Day:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Sailing to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.
7th Day:
Continue sailing to Esna and visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3). Overnight on board.
8th Day:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides for your physical well-being with delicious dishes. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Cabins

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² in size and feature a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
The cabins can also be booked for single occupancy (K1 or KA1).

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and have a small circular window.

Single cabin

With the same equipment as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The Albatros Makadi Resort is located in the popular Makadi Bay. The Albatros Makadi Resort is only approx. 35 km from Hurghada International Airport. The hotel is in a prime location, directly on a 600-meter-long white sandy beach, and offers the perfect conditions for swimming. The offshore house reef offers ideal opportunities and conditions for snorkeling to discover the beautiful and colorful underwater world of the Red Sea.

Facilities

The completely renovated resort has 869 spacious rooms spread across several buildings. The hotel is also equipped with a cozy lobby and various shops. Six buffet restaurants and two snack restaurants (Asian, Oriental, Italian, seafood, steakhouse, and more) as well as five bars cater to your culinary needs.
The spacious and friendly outdoor area has 20 pools with 10 integrated children's pools and a separate children's pool (three of which can be heated in winter) as well as the Adults Aqua Park Tower with six slides. The rooms (HD2) are approx. 106 m² in size and consist of two rooms with a connecting door (one bedroom with a king-size bed and one with twin beds). The deluxe family rooms are approx. 55 m² in size and have a double bed and two twin beds, which are separated by an optical room divider. The rooms have a garden view (2DF).
