Travel information

Combination package including a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation at the hotel is always in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The next available embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

1st Day:
Embarkation takes place on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
Morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3rd Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and travel to Kom Ombo, where you will have some free time.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Aswan Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
5th Day:
Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast package is included.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
6th Day:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, visit to the Kom Ombo Temple (1,2,3).
Then proceed via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.
Overnight and dinner on board.
7th Day:
At 5 AM, excursion by balloon (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, the Karnak Temple, and the Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.

Facilities

The Nile cruise ship of the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain features a total of 77 exterior cabins distributed across various decks. Furthermore, there is a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The Albatros Makadi Resort is located in the popular Makadi Bay. The Albatros Makadi Resort is only approx. 35 km from Hurghada International Airport. The hotel, in a prime location, sits directly on a 600-meter-long white sandy beach and offers the perfect conditions for swimming. The house reef located in front of the beach offers ideal possibilities and conditions for snorkeling to explore the beautiful and colorful underwater world of the Red Sea.

Facilities

The fully renovated resort features 869 spacious rooms distributed across several buildings. Additionally, the hotel is equipped with a cozy lobby and various shops. Culinary well-being is provided by six buffet restaurants and two snack restaurants (Asian, Oriental, Italian, seafood, steakhouse, etc.) as well as five bars.
The spacious and friendly outdoor area features 20 pools, with 10 integrated children's pools and one separate children's pool (three of which can be heated in winter), as well as the Adults Aqua Park Tower with six slides. The Deluxe Family Rooms are approx. 55 m² in size and feature a double bed and two twin beds separated by an optical room divider. The rooms have a garden view (2DF).
Additionally, also bookable on the sea side (FY2) and with a pool view (FP2).
