Travel information

Combined product of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the most affordable available room category. Boarding is always on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to boarding is mandatory. The next available boarding date will always be used.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the boarding day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and harbor are included.

Day 1:
Boarding is on Thursdays.
Arrival and boarding. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
After breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
After breakfast, visit the Temple of Habu (1,2,3).
Then continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sail to Kom Ombo, where you will have free time.
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
After breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca sailing on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then an opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast box is included.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, visit the Temple of Kom Ombo (1,2,3).
Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.
Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 7:
At 5 AM, excursion by balloon (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.

Facilities

The Nile cruise ship from the renowned Steigenberger Hotel chain has a total of 77 outside cabins spread across various decks. It also features a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (upon request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Beach towels are included on board.

Built in a Moroccan style, the hotel of the renowned JAZ Hotel group is located directly on the long private sandy beach of the popular and idyllic Makadi Bay with a beautiful view of the coast. Hurghada Airport is approx. 30 km away. The hotel's own reef invites you to snorkel and dive in the breathtaking underwater world of the Red Sea. In the immediate vicinity, you will find Souk Makadi with numerous shops, restaurants, and bars that invite you to stroll. The aqua park is about 3 km from the hotel.

Facilities

Nestled in a beautiful garden, JAZ Makadina features 270 rooms spread across several small buildings within the complex. The hotel is also equipped with a welcoming reception, several shops, a buffet restaurant, an à la carte restaurant (for a fee), and various bars. For culinary diversity, in addition to the show cooking in the hotel restaurant, the "Dine Around" concept of Souk Makadi provides a variety of options. The beautifully and spaciously designed garden area boasts a pool landscape with two swimming pools (one heated in winter) and a separate children's pool, as well as a pool bar and a beach bar. Additionally, there are two outdoor jacuzzis (adults only) in the outdoor area. Sun loungers, cushions, umbrellas, and towels are provided free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

Double Superior

The friendly furnished Double Superior rooms (DSU) are approx. 38 sqm and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), air conditioning, coffee/tea making facilities (refilled daily free of charge), minibar (for a fee), safe (included), balcony or terrace. A large bottle of water is provided daily in the room (free of charge). Also bookable with pool view (DSP), side sea view (D2S), sea view (DMU), or for single use (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME). Superior Family Suite

Superior Suite

The Superior Suites (SU2) have similar amenities to the Double Superior rooms but are more spacious (approx. 47 sqm) and feature an additional sitting/sleeping area separated from the rest of the room by a curtain. Also bookable as a Deluxe Double Room (DD2). In this room type, the sitting/sleeping area is separated by a sliding door.

Deluxe Family Room

The Deluxe Family Rooms (2DF) have the same amenities as the Superior Family Rooms. The children's sleeping area is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door. Also bookable with pool view at an extra charge (FPD).

The spacious (approx. 56 sqm) and elegant Junior Suites (J2S) offer, with the same amenities as the Double Superior rooms, a queen-size bed, a separate living area, and 2 TVs. The Junior Suites are 56 sqm. They offer a variety of magnificent views and are luxuriously furnished.
