Travel information

Package product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. Boarding is always on Thursdays. The trip must start at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay is mandatory. The next possible boarding will always be taken.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on board the ship is always for seven days according to the itinerary. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the boarding day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Arrival and boarding. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
After breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
After breakfast, visit the Temple of Habu (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sail to Kom Ombo, where you will have free time.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
After breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3)
Then the opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast package is included.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then visit the Temple of Kom Ombo (1,2,3).
Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.
Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 7:
At 5 AM, balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, visit the East Bank, Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).

The Nile cruise ship of the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain has a total of 77 outside cabins spread across various decks. It also features a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Beach towels are included on board.

Spend the most beautiful time of the year in the wonderful complex of the Albatros Palace Resort. This very spacious holiday resort is located directly on the hotel's private sandy beach with a house reef. Here you can experience the beauty of the Red Sea while diving and snorkeling. Hurghada city center is about 18 km away, and the airport is about 11 km away.

Facilities

Design your holiday day with numerous activities, then relax in the wellness area and enjoy international delicacies in the various restaurants. The attractive hotel of the upper category consists of a main building and several annexes, which house a total of 621 rooms. The hotel offers a reception with a spacious lobby in the luxurious entrance area, a hairdresser/beauty salon (for a fee), a shopping arcade, and an ATM. Six restaurants, including Asian and Italian cuisine, various bars, cafes, and an oriental pub, will delight your palate. In the spacious outdoor area, there is a large, lagoon-style pool landscape with various pools (1 heated from November to April) and a separate fun area for children with slides and fountains (1 heated children's pool).
