Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. Embarkation is always on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay is mandatory. The next available embarkation will always be used.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship always takes place for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between airport, hotel, and port are included.

Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
After breakfast in the morning, excursion to West Thebes
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Temple of Habu (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sail to Kom Ombo, where you will have free time.
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3)
Then the opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast box is included.

Breakfast on board. Afterwards, visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo (1,2,3).
Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.

The Nile cruise ship from the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain has a total of 77 outside cabins distributed across various decks. It also features a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The Sheraton Miramar Resort, built in Nubian style, invites you to relax and unwind. The beautiful hotel complex extends over nine small islands, on which the various hotel buildings are spread out. The island landscape is connected by wooden bridges. Surrounded by crystal-clear lagoons and beautiful sandy beaches, the location creates a very special atmosphere that immediately evokes a holiday mood. The hotel is located approx. 25 km north of Hurghada, just a few minutes' drive from the center of El Gouna with its various shops, restaurants, and bars. For a fee, you can use the regularly running boat and bus shuttle. The airport of Hurghada is approx. 40 km away.

The resort, designed by the famous architect Michael Graves, with 339 rooms, fascinates with its colorful combination of Arabic and Nubian style and its location amidst a beautiful, exotic garden landscape. Superior Double Room with Pool or Lagoon View

The cozy furnished rooms (DSU) have been freshly renovated and are approximately 38 sqm in size. The rooms feature a walk-in shower, toilet, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning, telephone, LCD TV, minibar (refilled daily with soft drinks), coffee and tea maker, safe, and a balcony or terrace with a view of the hotel's own lagoon. The Family Rooms (DF2) offer the same amenities as the double rooms but consist of two rooms with a connecting door.

The Suite Superior (SU2) rooms have similar amenities to the double rooms but do not have a walk-in shower and are larger at approx. 42 sqm.

The main restaurant "Miramar" offers breakfast (7-10:30 AM) and dinner (6-9:30 PM), both in buffet form. Lunch is served in the "Miramar" or "Waves" restaurant. Local beer, local spirits, and local wines, soft drinks, ice cream, tea, mineral water, and coffee are included around the clock at the respective open bar. Drinks in the minibar are also included (daily refill of soft drinks).

Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program offers guests with half board, full board, or all-inclusive a special culinary experience. Guests can dine in participating restaurants of other hotels – without any additional cost for the food (drinks excluded).
Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer multiple times: once for stays of four nights or more, up to 3 times for five to seven nights, and up to 4 times for eight nights or more.
