Location

The luxurious hotel complex is located directly in the heart of Port Ghalib and is only about 200 meters from the beautiful sandy beach. A coral reef in front of the hotel offers guests a great opportunity for snorkeling and diving. A long bathing jetty makes it easy to enter the crystal-clear water of the Red Sea. The marina with various restaurants and bars is just a few minutes' walk away. Marsa Alam International Airport is only about 5 km away.

The luxurious hotel complex, built in Arab style, has 311 modern rooms and is equipped with a spacious reception area with a reception desk. For culinary delights, there are three buffet restaurants (two with international cuisine and one with Italian cuisine) and four bars. The generously designed spa area invites you to relax and unwind. In the beautifully landscaped and extensive outdoor area, there is a pool and a separate children's pool (partially heated in winter). The complex also offers a large saltwater lagoon that runs through the entire complex. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and bath towels are available to guests free of charge at the pool and on the beach.
The resort includes the largest and heated water park in Port Ghalib and Marsa Alam (in close proximity, included). The new aqua park offers 8 slides for adults and 13 slides for children, ensuring fun for all age groups. In addition, there are two large, heated pools with comfortable sun loungers, so you can also relax between the slides. The aqua park is exclusively available to the hotels Pickalbatros Palace, Pickalbatros Sands, and Pickalbatros Oasis Port Ghalib. The park is open from May to October from 10 AM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 7 PM, and from November to April from 10 AM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 4:30 PM, giving guests ample time to make the most of their visit and create lasting memories.
Guests of "Pickalbatros The Palace Port Ghalib" are allowed to use the adjacent facilities of "Pickalbatros Oasis Port Ghalib" (RMF073) and "Pickalbatros Sands Port Ghalib" (RMF072). The other way around is not permitted.

Double Room

The double rooms (D), furnished in oriental style, are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (daily refilled with water), air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), Wi-Fi, TV, and balcony, terrace, or French balcony.
Also bookable with sea view (DM), lagoon view (L2Z), and marina view (MV2), as well as for single occupancy (DE/DEM/L2Z/MV1).

Family Room Connecting Door

The family rooms with connecting doors (FAV) consist of 2 double rooms with a connecting door and a shared entrance door.
Also bookable with pool view (FVP), marina view (HFV), or sea view (MFV).

All Inclusive

Early breakfast from 5 AM to 7 AM, breakfast from 7 AM to 10 AM, late breakfast from 10 AM to 11 AM, lunch from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and dinner from 6:30 PM to 9 PM, all in buffet form.
Dinner can be taken in the Italian or one of the international restaurants. Alternatively, guests can also use the restaurants at Pickalbatros Sands and Pickalbatros Oasis.
Late dinner from 10 PM to 12 AM.
Lunch snacks from 3 PM to 4:30 PM, tea time from 4 PM to 5 PM, and ice cream from 10 AM to 5 PM.
Local alcoholic drinks from 10 AM to 12 AM at the respective open bar. Selected cocktails are already included in the All-Inclusive offer at no extra charge. Local non-alcoholic drinks are available 24 hours.
Alcoholic beverages are subject to a charge after 12 AM.

Product information

Combined product of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. Embarkation is always on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay is mandatory. The next possible embarkation will always be taken.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, bookable locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to West Thebes to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo (1,2,3).
Sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Once there, you have the option to visit the East Bank with the Temple of Luxor (1,2,3) and the Temple of Karnak (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at the Temple of Karnak (optional, can be booked locally).

Departure.

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and relax with cool drinks from the three bars on board. There is also a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. From Winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Meals

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot beverages. Lunch and dinner include two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person.

Entertainment

Occasional evening entertainment with folklore or oriental evenings.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, the French balcony also includes a small table and two chairs.

Single Suite

The Single Suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise equipped like the suites, but with only one single bed without a seating area.

Economy Suite

The Economy Suites (S2Z) have the same amenities as the suites, but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) and may not have a French balcony and a seating area, but rather a non-opening window.
