Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all transfers between the two. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Saturdays. The journey must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay is mandatory. The next available embarkation date will always be selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
Sightseeing on the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on-site).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
3rd Day:
Sightseeing on the West Bank. After breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
Continuing journey from Esna.
Afterwards, travel to Aswan, where the overnight stay also takes place.

5th Day:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Afterward, opportunity for a visit to a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Journey to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7th Day:

The ship features a welcoming reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins, spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides for your physical well-being with delicious dishes. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² and feature a bathroom with bathtub/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and feature a small porthole.

Single cabin

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

SUNRISE Select Garden Beach Resort

Location

The sprawling hotel complex is located directly on its own 400 m long sandy beach. On the beach, there is a jetty that makes entering deeper water easier and creates perfect conditions for snorkeling. From here, guests can explore the beautiful and diverse underwater world of the Red Sea. The nearest shopping center, Senzo Mall, is about 300 m away. The center of Hurghada is about 20 km away, and Hurghada International Airport is about 15 km away.

Experience water fun for the whole family in the popular 5-star family resort! The complex is embedded in a beautiful and generously laid-out garden landscape. Spend a great family holiday and enjoy Egyptian hospitality. The hotel, which is particularly popular with regular guests, features 483 comfortably furnished rooms spread over several three-story buildings. The main building houses the reception, the Sun Ray Lobby Bar, and the Giardino buffet restaurant. The extensive and well-kept garden area offers a spacious pool landscape consisting of three freshwater pools (Moroccan Pool, Aqua Pool, as well as a children's pool with slides; heatable in winter). A highlight of the resort is the hotel's own Aquapark with twelve different water slides (usage from 1.20 m) and a separate area with two children's slides (Octopus, Snake) that will make the hearts of big and small water fans beat faster.

The 45 m² tastefully furnished Superior double rooms (D) feature a telephone, bathroom with shower or bathtub/WC, hairdryer, coffee/tea maker, seating area, minibar (daily refill with water, weekly refill with soft drinks), air conditioning, safe, TV, balcony or terrace.

The super saver rooms (SSZ) have the same amenities as the Superior doubles, but with limited availability and a special price.

Deluxe double room

The Deluxe double rooms (DD2/DD1) have the same amenities as the double rooms, are also approx. 45 m² in size and additionally feature a king-size bed or two single beds, a seating area with a side table, and a vanity.
Optionally bookable with pool view (DPB/DPE) or side sea view (DDS/EDD) as well as Typ I (DDI) at a special price, limited availability.

Katta family room

The Katta family rooms (KWF) with bunk beds are bookable as "schauinsland-reisen original" rooms and feature a fresh, renovated Katta style (bookable under KWF as well as DF2).
In the rooms, you will find additional amenities for the little ones, such as a Katta-style loft bed, a Katta play corner with beanbags and a small table with chairs, as well as an extra Smart TV with HDMI connection and Katta’s height chart on the wall. Furthermore, the power outlets are childproof. In the bathrooms, there are towel holders at child height as well as a step stool in front of the sink. With the same amenities as the double rooms, these rooms are also approx. 45 m² in size.
Also bookable as a double room (FR2).
For 2 adults and 3 children, only limited space is available.

Katta family suite

The family suites (2FS/FMK) are bookable as "schauinsland-reisen original" rooms and have been renovated.
The suites are approx. 75 m² and consist of two separate bedrooms with a master bedroom with a king-size bed and another bedroom with two single beds, separated from each other by a hallway. Both rooms feature their own bathroom with shower. The double rooms with king-size bed are equipped analogously to the double rooms and feature a Smart TV with HDMI connection. The rooms with two single beds feature special lighting effects, a dresser with a Smart TV and HDMI connection, as well as a chill-out area with a beanbag. The power outlets are childproof, and the bathrooms feature a step stool as well as towel holders at child height.
Please note that Katta and his friends are not graphically represented in Katta family suites.
The family suites can also be occupied by 4 adults.

The junior suites (JS2) are approx. 80 m² and consist of a living/sleeping room with extra sleeping options and a separate bedroom. The rooms also feature a bathroom with bathtub and a terrace.

Beach Front

The Beach Front rooms (BF2) have the same amenities as the double rooms but are located in the first row to the beach and feature a sea view.

This includes a general area with various games, a Playstation room with a selection of different Playstation games, as well as a sleeping and chill-out room for the kids' afternoon nap. In the evening, children's cinema is available in the Miniclub. Painting and cooking classes as well as sports activities round off the program. Furthermore, a playground, Katta’s children's buffet corner in the main restaurant, and a mini-aquapark with a pool are available for the little ones.
