Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all connecting transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay before is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation date is always selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven Days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.

At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon journey to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
3rd Day:
Morning journey to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Journey to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
4th Day:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Breakfast on board. Afterwards, the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
7th Day:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Afterwards, the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).
8th Day:

Amenities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, which are spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available to you. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sundeck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same equipment as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same equipment as the suites and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a window that cannot be opened.

The SUNRISE Azalea Aqua Park Resort, freshly renovated and reopened in 2026, is located in the north of Hurghada in the first beach row. The spacious and wide beach section with its own pier invites you to linger and explore the underwater world. Hurghada airport is about 25 kilometers away, the center of Hurghada approx. 16 kilometers.

Amenities

The schauinsland-reisen original Hotel was extensively renovated in the winter of 2025/2026 and thus shines in new splendor in the first beach row of Hurghada. The resort has a total of 569 rooms, which are spread across different building areas, including newly built, popular swim-up rooms. The resort offers guests 5 different pools, which are distributed throughout the facility down to the beach. One of the pools can be heated during the winter months and one of the pools is exclusively for adults, from 16 years of age. Additionally, the resort offers three children's pools, all of which can be heated. Nestled in the resort, a spacious aqua park offers water fun for young and old: Ten different slides provide daily sliding fun, and six additional slides are located specifically for younger guests in the children's area. Culinary experiences are provided by a total of 6 restaurants in the resort (one of which is for a fee) as well as three additional à la carte restaurants, which are located in the adjacent SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort and may be used free of charge. Family suite swim up

With the same equipment as the family suite sea view, these rooms have access to the sharing pool (FSU, approx. 48m²).
Please note that your booked room has a sharing pool and there is no lifeguard on duty there. When booking with children or non-swimmers, you are responsible for supervision yourself.

Superior double room swim up

With the same equipment as the superior double rooms, these rooms (DWU) are 44m² large and have a terrace with access to the sharing pool.
Also bookable for single occupancy (WU1).

Deluxe double room pool view

The rooms (DPB) are somewhat more spacious (approx. 35m²) with similar equipment features as the superior double rooms and have a pool view.

Family Jacuzzi suite

The spacious Family Jacuzzi Suite (FJZ) with sea view offers plenty of space for the whole family with two separate bedrooms (1 queen-size bed and 1 twin bedroom) (approx. 80 m²). Equipment includes a seating area, walk-in closet, bathroom with walk-in shower, as well as a balcony with a private outdoor Jacuzzi. The spacious Junior Jacuzzi Suite (JJ2) with sea view offers a stylish ambiance for relaxing holidays (approx. 80 m²). Equipped with a bedroom with a queen-size bed, cozy seating area, and bathroom with a walk-in shower, it ensures a high level of living comfort. A special highlight is the terrace with a private outdoor Jacuzzi. Further equipment includes air conditioning, Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, hairdryer, iron, and an HD/LED TV.

The resort has six different restaurants: Heliodoro buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as midnight snacks, Basilico breakfast and dinner in buffet form as well as à la carte in the evening, Manzoku Asian cuisine in the evening in à la carte form, Manohar Indian cuisine in the evening in à la carte form, Yades Greek cuisine at lunch and evening in à la carte form, Felucca seafood in the evening in à la carte form. The à la carte restaurants must be reserved on site, the Felucca restaurant is for a fee.
Furthermore, the following three à la carte restaurants are available in the evening in the neighboring hotel "SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort" upon reservation: Gamila (Egyptian cuisine), Frida (Mexican cuisine), Elia (Mediterranean cuisine). Snacks are available in the Mayfair Lounge (coffee, tea, and cake) as well as at the Burger Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
