Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers between them. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay before is mandatory. The next possible embarkation is always used.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay in the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

At 5 a.m., a balloon trip is possible (can be booked optionally on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, travel to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
3. Day:
Morning journey to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Journey to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
4. Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Early in the morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then returning to Kom Ombo.

Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
7. Day:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Arriving there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Amenities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a front desk. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same equipment as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same equipment as the suites, but with only one single bed without a seating area.

Economy suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same equipment as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

The beautiful hotel complex is located directly in the heart of Makadi Bay next to the popular sister hotel "SUNRISE Royal Makadi Resort Select" (HRG223). The holiday resort is located in the first beach row at the most beautiful snorkeling and diving spots of the bay, thus offering the opportunity to explore the breathtaking underwater world of the Red Sea directly from the flat-sloping beach.
It is approx. 37 km to the city center of Hurghada. The Hurghada airport is located approx. 32 km away.

Amenities

The schauinsland-reisen original hotel was built in an elegant Bohemian style and has 240 rooms and suites spread over several building complexes. With its unique and high-quality meal concept, the hotel stands out in Egypt and offers you a choice of a total of three own à-la-carte restaurants ("Lucina" - international cuisine, "Gaia" - Italian cuisine, and "Yades" - Greek cuisine) for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The à-la-carte restaurant "Posh Club Lounge" is exclusively available to Posh Club members and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lexi Swim Up Suite Poolview

The Lexi Swim Up Suite (SWP) has the same equipment as the Superior double rooms but is larger (approx. 43 m²). The rooms have a terrace with access to the swim-up shared pool. On the terrace, there is a dining table as well as two separate sun loungers.
Rooms with direct access to the sharing pool do not have their own swimming supervision and pose an increased hazard potential for small children and non-swimmers. The duty of supervision at the pool therefore lies with the legal guardians.

The friendly furnished rooms (DSU, approx. 35 m²) are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, and balcony or terrace.

The Double rooms Deluxe (DD2) have the same equipment as the Superior double rooms but are larger (approx. 40 m²) and have a garden view.

The unique meal concept offers you breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., lunch from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and dinner from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in one of the three à-la-carte restaurants of the hotel ("Lucina", "Gaia", "Yades"). As a Posh Club member (booked suite), you also have the opportunity to take your breakfast exclusively in the "Posh Club Lounge." In all four restaurants, a sparkling wine breakfast is included for you. Additionally, dinner can alternatively be taken in the buffet restaurant or in one of the eight different à-la-carte restaurants of the "SUNRISE Royal Makadi Resort Select" (Mexican, Italian, Asian, Mediterranean, Steak, Diet and Light, Bedouin restaurant).
