Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all connecting transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The journey must be commenced at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to embarkation is mandatory. The next possible embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre-cruise and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your day of arrival and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Itinerary

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and the visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon journey to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3rd Day:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Journey to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
5th Day:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
6th Day:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7th Day:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).
8th Day:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modern outside cabins distributed across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered in the main restaurant and enjoy the cold drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck, cool off in the pool, and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also available for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same features as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same features as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may not have a French balcony or seating area, featuring a non-opening window instead.

Location

Spend a wonderful holiday under the Egyptian sun at the Arabella Azur Resort. The architecturally charming resort is located in a small, sheltered bay in the heart of Hurghada. The private sandy bay delights with a dreamlike house reef, which offers the best conditions for exploring the colorful underwater world. Stairs facilitate entry into the crystal-clear waters of the Red Sea. The lively city center of Hurghada with various shopping and entertainment options is only approx. 3 km away. Hurghada Airport is approx. 10 km away.

Facilities

The hotel, designed in a typical Nubian style, has 295 rooms distributed between the main building and five annex buildings. Hotel amenities include a spacious lobby with a reception and comfortable seating. There are also various shops on the premises for a stroll. Culinary delights are provided by two buffet restaurants (international and Italian) and two à la carte restaurants ("Bordiehn's Restaurant" - reservation required, drinks for a fee, and "Al Raouche" - Lebanese cuisine - for a fee), several bars, and a café. A music pub in the outdoor area complements the offerings.
In the extensive gardens, there are two freshwater pools (one heated) as well as a separate, heated children's pool.
Sun loungers, pads, parasols, and beach towels are available free of charge on the beach and by the pool.
