Location

Spend a dream family vacation at the "Steigenberger Aqua Magic". The 5-star hotel offers fun for the whole family and delights both young and old with its extensive water park. The tastefully designed promenade "ALDAU Art Promenade" separates the complex from the sandy beach, which is approximately 400 meters away and slopes gently into the sea. Fascinate yourself here with snorkeling or diving in the magical underwater world of the Red Sea. If needed, the hotel offers shuttle services to the beach (subject to availability). Your holiday accommodation is located in the newer part of Hurghada on the modern promenade with oriental cafes, bars, international pubs, and small shops. The center of Hurghada with the well-known "Sakalla" is about 6 km away. Hurghada Airport is approximately 5 km away.

Facilities

The extensive hotel complex is particularly child-friendly and family-oriented, with 718 generously equipped rooms and suites. The complex greets guests in a spacious lobby with a reception and lobby bar, as well as a cozy lounge area. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the hotel. The outdoor area features seven swimming pools, one with an integrated children's pool, covering over 2,600m², some of which are heated in winter. The hotel also boasts a water park with various water slides, accessible for children over 1.20 meters tall. The highlight for all water lovers is the 400-meter-long "Lazy River" that flows through the entire complex. On the rooftop terrace, there is a relaxation pool accessible only to adults. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are available free of charge at the pools and on the beach. For culinary delights, the "Magic Flavors" main restaurant is available, as well as three different à la carte restaurants, a snack bar, and various pool and beach bars. Guests can choose between Italian, international, and oriental cuisine. There is also a "Sky Bar" on the rooftop terrace where guests can enjoy their drinks in the evening. Small items like souvenirs can be purchased in the shopping arcade located directly in the hotel.

Double Room Superior

The Double Rooms Superior (DSU/DAS, approx. 34 m²) feature a shower/WC, coffee and tea making facilities, minibar, safe, LED TV, minibar, hairdryer, and air conditioning, and a balcony. Wi-Fi access is free for 2 devices.
Also bookable for single use (DEU).

Double Room Deluxe

The Double Rooms Deluxe (DD2/DDA, approx. 45 m²) are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, satellite LED TV, coffee and tea making facilities, air conditioning, minibar (daily refill with soft drinks), work area, seating area, and balcony. Wi-Fi access for 2 devices is free. Also bookable for single use (DD1).

Family Suite

The Family Suites (2FS/ASF) have the same amenities as the Double Rooms Deluxe but are more spacious (approx. 55 m²) and feature a master bedroom and a separate sleeping area with separate beds for children. The master bedroom is separated from the sleeping area and hallway by a door. Wi-Fi access is free for 3 devices. Also bookable as a suite (SA).

Family Junior Suite

The Family Junior Suites (FJ2/FJA, approx. 68 m²) have the same amenities as the Family Suites but feature a master bedroom and a separate living/sleeping area. The master bedroom has a door to the living and sleeping area with two sofa beds. Wi-Fi access for 3 devices is free. Also bookable as a Junior Suite (JSA).

Aqua Suite

The Aqua Suite (S2, approx. 70 m²) consists of a living/sleeping room and a separate bedroom. Otherwise, it has the same features as the Double Rooms Deluxe.
Wi-Fi access for 3 devices is free.

Super Economy Room

The Super Economy Rooms (SSZ) are equipped like the Double Rooms Superior but have a smaller quota and a special price. The rooms are spread throughout the complex and are sometimes in less desirable locations. Wi-Fi access for 2 devices is free.

Double Room Standard

The Double Rooms (DA) have similar amenities to the Double Rooms Superior, are slightly smaller (approx. 24 m²), but are in a renovated, modern style. The rooms are spread throughout the complex and have no balcony. Wi-Fi access for 2 devices is free.

Young Traveler Room

The Young Traveler Rooms (YTR) are equipped like the Double Rooms Standard and are bookable for young adults aged 18-29.

All Inclusive

The main restaurant "Magic Flavors" offers breakfast (7 AM-10:30 AM), lunch (1 PM-3 PM), and dinner (Summer: 6:30 PM-9 PM/Winter 6 PM-9:30 PM) in buffet style with theme nights and live cooking stations.
Additionally, the following à la carte restaurants are available: "Magic Orient Restaurant" offers oriental dinner and late dinner from 10:30 PM to midnight. "Magic Palappa Restaurant" offers Italian cuisine for breakfast (8 AM-10:30 AM), late breakfast (10:30 AM-12 PM), lunch (1 PM-4 PM), and dinner (6:30 PM-9 PM). "Magic Sky Restaurant" offers dinner (6:30 PM-9 PM) on the rooftop. All mentioned restaurants are included once a week (for stays of 5 nights or more) and require reservation.
Furthermore, snacks, sandwiches, and ice cream are available daily at the beach restaurant "Magic Blue" from 12 PM to 5 PM or at "Magic Souk" from 5 PM to 11 PM. Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included around the clock at the respective open bar: "Magic Lounge" including midnight snack, "Magic Splash Bar" with ice cream, "Magic Breeze Bar" with ice cream, "Magic Blue Bar", "Magic Sky Bar" with a sunset coffee break, and the "Magic Relax Bar – Adult Only".

Combined product of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. Boarding is always on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay is mandatory. The next possible boarding will always be taken.

Day 1:
Arrival and boarding. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, can be booked locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, transfer to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).

Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package is included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.

Breakfast on board. The ship then sails on to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Then you have the option to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship sails on to Luxor.
Once there, you have the option to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked locally).
Day 8:
Departure.

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and relax with cool drinks from the three bars on board. There is also a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. From Winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on the sun deck on loungers or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Meals

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft and hot drinks. Two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person are included with lunch and dinner.

Entertainment

Occasional evening entertainment with folklore or oriental evenings.

Suite

The cheerfully furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area and French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, the French balcony also includes a small table and two chairs.

Single Suites

The Single Suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed without a seating area.

Economy Suite

The Economy Suites (S2Z) have the same amenities as the suites, but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may not have a French balcony or seating area, but rather a non-opening window.
