Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always in the most reasonably priced available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The journey must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The next possible embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and contains various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre-cruise and post-cruise hotel stay depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon flight is possible (optionally bookable on site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon journey to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise continues to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Cruise continues to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package is included.
Then we head back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship travels on to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins, spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship features a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise have the same facilities as the suites, but with only one single bed without a seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same facilities as the suites, and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot drinks. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks as well as one small bottle of water per person are included.

Spend a dreamlike family holiday at the "Steigenberger Aqua Magic". The 5-star hotel offers fun for the whole family and delights young and old with its spacious water park. The tastefully designed „ALDAU Art Promenade“ separates the complex from the gently sloping sandy beach, approx. 400 meters away. Be fascinated by the magical underwater world of the Red Sea while snorkeling or diving. If needed, the hotel offers shuttle services to the beach (subject to availability). Your holiday domicile is located in the newer part of Hurghada on the modern promenade with oriental cafes, bars, and international pubs as well as small shops. The town center of Hurghada with the famous "Sakalla" is approx. 6 km away. Hurghada airport is approx. 5 km away.

Facilities

The extensive hotel complex is particularly child-friendly and family-friendly and has 718 generously equipped rooms and suites. The facility welcomes guests in a spacious lobby with reception and lobby bar as well as a cozy lounge with seating. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the hotel. In the outdoor area, there are nine swimming pools, one with an integrated children's pool covering over 2,600m², which are partially heatable in winter. The hotel also has an aquapark with various water slides that can be used by those with a height of 1.20 meters or more. The highlight for all water lovers is the 400-meter-long "Lazy River" that runs through the entire complex. On the roof terrace, there is a relax pool, which is only accessible to adults. Sun loungers, parasols, and bath towels are available free of charge to guests at the pools and on the beach. For your culinary well-being, the “Magic Flavors” main restaurant is available, in addition to three different à-la-carte restaurants as well as a snack bar and various pool and beach bars. Family suite

The family suites (2FS/ASF) have the same facilities as the deluxe double rooms, but are more spacious (approx. 55 m²) and equipped with a master bedroom as well as a separate sleeping area with separate beds for the children. The master bedroom is separated from the sleeping area and hallway by a door. Wi-Fi access is free for 3 devices. Also bookable as a suite (SA).

Family junior suites

The family junior suites (FJ2/FJA, approx. 68 m²) feature, with the same facilities as the family suites, a master bedroom and a separate living/sleeping room. The master bedroom has a door to the living and sleeping area with two sofa beds. Wi-Fi access for 3 devices is free of charge. Also bookable as a junior suite (JSA).

The double rooms (DA) have similar equipment as the superior double rooms, but are slightly smaller (approx. 24 m²), however in a renovated, modern style. The rooms are without a balcony. Wi-Fi access for 2 devices is free of charge.

The main restaurant “Magic Flavors” offers breakfast (07-10:30 a.m.), lunch (1-3 p.m.), as well as dinner (6-9:30 p.m.) in buffet style with themed evenings and live-cooking stations. Additionally, the following à-la-carte restaurants are available: The “Magic Orient Restaurant” offers oriental dinner.
