Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always in the most favorable available room category. Embarkation is always on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to embarkation is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation will always be taken.

Notice

The package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Route

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, can be booked locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning onward journey to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca sailing on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package included.
Then back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. The ship then continues sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. You then have the option to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
The ship then continues sailing to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and sip cool drinks from the three onboard bars. There is also a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. Starting from Winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The pleasantly furnished suites (S2) are approximately 24 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or a double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, the balcony also has a small table and two chairs.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approximately 13 m² in size and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) than the suites with otherwise the same amenities, and may not have a French balcony and seating area, but rather a non-opening window.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft and hot drinks. Lunch and dinner include two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person.

The hotel, built in Moroccan style by the renowned JAZ Hotel Group, is located directly on the long private sandy beach of the popular and idyllic Makadi Bay, with a beautiful view of the coast. Hurghada Airport is approximately 30 km away. The hotel's own reef invites you to snorkel and dive in the breathtaking underwater world of the Red Sea. In the immediate vicinity is the Souk Makadi with numerous shops, restaurants, and bars that invite you to stroll. The aqua park is about 3 km from the hotel.

Facilities

The JAZ Makadina is nestled in a beautiful garden setting and features 270 rooms spread across several small buildings within the complex. The hotel is also equipped with an inviting reception, several shops, a buffet restaurant, an à la carte restaurant (for a fee), and various bars. For culinary variety, in addition to show cooking in the hotel restaurant, the "Dine Around" concept of Souk Makadi is available.
In the beautifully and spaciously designed garden area, there is a pool landscape with two swimming pools (one heated in winter) and a separate children's pool, as well as a pool bar and a beach bar. Additionally, there are two outdoor jacuzzis (adults only) in the outdoor area.
Sun loungers, cushions, parasols, and towels are provided free of charge by the pool and on the beach.

Double Superior

The pleasantly furnished Double Superior rooms (DSU) are approximately 38 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), air conditioning, coffee/tea making facilities (daily free refill), minibar (for a fee), safe (included), balcony or terrace. Daily a large bottle of water in the room (free of charge).
Also bookable with pool view (DSP), side sea view (D2S), sea view (DMU), or for single occupancy (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).
For single occupancy, type B (DEB) is also available at a special price and limited quota.

Family Suite Superior

Suite Superior

The Suite Superior (SU2) rooms have similar amenities to the Double Superior rooms but are more spacious (approx. 47 m²) and feature an additional sitting/sleeping area separated by a curtain from the rest of the room.
Also bookable as Double Deluxe room (DD2). In this room, the sitting/sleeping area is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door.

Family Room Deluxe

The Family Rooms Deluxe (2DF) have the same amenities as the Family Rooms Superior. The sleeping area for children is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door.
