Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers between locations. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The next available embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel package you have chosen has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and the visit to the Aswan High Dam.

Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a balloon flight is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, cruise to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning, continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Then you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Afterwards, the ship continues to Luxor.
Arriving there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small gym that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck, cool off in the pool, and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), sitting area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same equipment as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no sitting area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, and possibly without a French balcony and without a sitting area, but with a non-opening window.

Breakfast includes soft and hot drinks. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person are included.

The luxury resort is located directly on the hotel's own beach, with a unique house reef, in the exclusive holiday area of Sahl Hasheesh. The reef invites you to dive and snorkel in its fascinating underwater world. Two beautiful artificially created lagoons as well as a natural lagoon ensure rest and relaxation. Hurghada Airport is approx. 25 km away. The center of Hurghada with numerous restaurants, bars, shopping, and entertainment options is approx. 30 km (taxi for a fee) away.

Facilities

The resort, built from natural coral stones on a hillside, has 552 rooms spread over eight buildings. The hotel has its own small marina and a private beach. Facilities include a spacious, cozy reception hall with a reception desk, a beauty salon with a hairdresser, some souvenir shops, as well as a Starbucks (for a fee). Six different restaurants take care of your culinary needs ("Star Fish" for a fee). Cool refreshments are served in eight different bars. The shisha bar with hookahs rounds off the diverse range of offers (for a fee).

Double room Sea view

The approx. 36-58 m² and modernly furnished Double room Sea view (DM, MBB) feature shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, Wi-Fi, safe, satellite TV, minibar (incl. water and soft drinks), coffee/tea maker, individually adjustable air conditioning, balcony or terrace. Double rooms are also bookable for single use (DEM). All double rooms have a sea view.

The double rooms are similar in furnishings to the double rooms with sea view, but do not have a sea view (D). Also bookable for single occupancy (DE).

Double Deluxe Sea view

The approx. 60 m² Double Deluxe Sea view (DM2) offer the same amenities as the double rooms with sea view with balcony or terrace. The Double Deluxe rooms are located in buildings 6, 7, and 8 on the ground floor and also have a sea view. Also bookable for single use (DM1).

The family rooms with sea view (F2M) are approx. 60 m² in size and have two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a dressing room. Equipped like the Double room Sea view.

Double room Superior Swim up Sea view

The spacious Swim Up rooms (2MW) are approx. 58 m² in size, modernly furnished, and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, Wi-Fi, safe, satellite TV, minibar (incl. water and soft drinks), coffee/tea maker, individually adjustable air conditioning, terrace, and access to the sharing pool (bookable from 16 years). Also bookable for single use (1MW).

These Executive rooms are approx. 57 m² in size and have similar furnishings to the Double room Sea view, but offer a Swim Up terrace (EXD).

Double room Sea view Type A (HRGA29)

These rooms are only bookable for adults from 12 years and are approx. 35 m² in size. Amenities include air conditioning, TV, telephone, safe (for a fee), minibar (for a fee), and a balcony with sea view (DMA).
