Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. Boarding is always on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay is mandatory. The next possible boarding will always be taken.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the boarding day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Route

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and boarding. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, bookable on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner, and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Then you have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues sailing to Luxor.
Once there, you have the option to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks from the three bars on board. There is also a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The cheerfully furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, the balcony also includes a small table and two chairs.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise equipped like the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) than the suites with otherwise the same amenities, but may have a non-opening window instead of a French balcony and seating area.

Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot beverages. Lunch and dinner include two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person.

The luxury resort is located directly on the hotel's own beach, with a unique house reef, in the exclusive resort area of Sahl Hasheesh. The reef invites you to dive and snorkel with its fascinating underwater world. Two beautifully landscaped lagoons and a natural lagoon offer relaxation and recreation. Hurghada Airport is approx. 25 km away. The center of Hurghada with numerous restaurants, bars, shopping, and entertainment options is approx. 30 km away (taxi at a fee).

Facilities

The resort, built from natural coral stone on a hillside, has 552 rooms spread across eight buildings. The hotel has its own small marina and a private beach. Facilities include a spacious, comfortable lobby with a reception, a beauty salon with a hairdresser, several souvenir shops, and a Starbucks (for a fee). Six different restaurants cater to your culinary needs ("Golden Booda" and "Star Fish" for a fee). Cool refreshments are served in ten different bars. Double Room Sea View

The approx. 36-58 sqm modernly furnished double rooms with sea view (DM, MBB) feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, Wi-Fi, safe, satellite TV, minibar (incl. water and soft drinks), coffee/tea maker, individually adjustable air conditioning, balcony or terrace. Family Room Sea View

The family rooms with sea view (F2M) are approx. 60 sqm and have two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a dressing room. Equipped like the double rooms with sea view.

Double Room Superior Swim Up Sea View

The spacious Swim Up rooms (2MW) are approx. 58 sqm, modernly furnished, and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, Wi-Fi, safe, satellite TV, minibar (incl. water and soft drinks), coffee/tea maker, individually adjustable air conditioning, terrace, and access to a sharing pool (bookable for ages 16+). Junior Suite Sea View (HRGA29)

The approx. 60 sqm junior suites are equipped with air conditioning, TV, telephone, rental safe, minibar (for a fee), and a balcony with sea view (J2M).

Double Room Executive (HRGA29)

These executive rooms are approx. 57 sqm and have amenities similar to the double rooms with sea view, but offer a swim-up terrace (EXD).

Double Room Sea View Type A (HRGA29)

These rooms are only bookable for adults aged 12 and over and are approx. 35 sqm. Amenities include air conditioning, TV, telephone, rental safe, minibar (for a fee), and a balcony with sea view (DMA).
