Travel information

Combination product featuring a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all inter-hotel transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation date will always be selected.

Notice

The holiday package you have selected has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven Days as per the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Itinerary

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a viewing of the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, cruise to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Cruise to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then the journey continues to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness room that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sundeck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) feature the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same amenities as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may be without a French balcony and without a seating area, instead featuring a non-opening window.

The luxury resort is located directly on its own private beach, with a unique house reef, in the exclusive holiday area of Sahl Hasheesh. The reef with its fascinating underwater world invites you to dive and snorkel. Two beautifully landscaped artificial lagoons as well as a natural lagoon provide relaxation and recreation. Hurghada airport is approx. 25 km away. The center of Hurghada with numerous restaurants, bars, and shopping and entertainment venues is approx. 30 km away (taxi for a fee).

Facilities

Built from natural coral stone on a hillside, the resort features 552 rooms spread across eight buildings. The hotel has its own small marina and a private beach. Facilities include a spacious, cozy reception hall with a front desk, a beauty salon with a hairdresser, several souvenir shops, and a Starbucks (for a fee). Six different restaurants provide for your culinary needs ("Star Fish" for a fee). Cool refreshments are served in eight different bars. The Shisha bar with hookahs rounds off the diverse offering (for a fee).
In the well-kept and lovingly landscaped grounds, three swimming pools, a children's pool, and six open-air whirlpools (all heatable in winter) invite you to relax and unwind. Double room sea view

The approx. 36-58 m² modernly furnished double rooms with sea view (DM,MBB) feature shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, Wi-Fi, safe, satellite TV, minibar (incl. water and soft drinks), coffee/tea maker, individually adjustable air conditioning, and a balcony or terrace. Double rooms can also be booked for single use (DEM). All double rooms have a sea view.

The double rooms are similar in amenities to the double rooms with sea view, but do not have a sea view (D). Also bookable for single occupancy (DE).

Double Deluxe sea view

The approx. 60 m² double deluxe sea view rooms (DM2) offer the same amenities as the double rooms with sea view, with a balcony or terrace. The double deluxe rooms are located in buildings 6, 7, and 8 on the ground floor and also have a sea view. Also bookable for single use (DM1).

The family rooms with sea view (F2M) are approx. 60 m² and feature two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a dressing room. Equipped like the double rooms with sea view.

Double room Superior Swim up sea view

The spacious Swim Up rooms (2MW) are approx. 58 m², modernly furnished, and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, Wi-Fi, safe, satellite TV, minibar (incl. water and soft drinks), coffee/tea maker, individually adjustable air conditioning, terrace, and access to the sharing pool (bookable for ages 16+). Also bookable for single use (1MW).

The approx. 60 m² junior suites are equipped with air conditioning, TV, telephone, rental safe, minibar (for a fee), and a balcony with a sea view (J2M).

Double room Executive (HRGA29)

These executive rooms are approx. 57 m² and have similar amenities to the double rooms with sea view, but they offer a swim-up terrace (EXD).

Double room sea view type A (HRGA29)

These rooms are only bookable for adults from 12 years and are approx. 35 m². Amenities include air conditioning, TV, telephone, rental safe, minibar (for a fee), and a balcony with a sea view (DMA).
