Travel Information

Combined product of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the most favorable available room category. Embarkation is always on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation will always be taken.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Route

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and the visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning, continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, Felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
Then the ship sails on to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an option for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).
Day 8:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks from the three bars on board. Furthermore, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. As of Winter 2024/25, the ship has a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun deck on the loungers or cool off in the pool while enjoying the breathtaking view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The cheerfully furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, the balcony also includes a small table and two chairs.

Single Suites

The Single Suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise equipped like the suites, but with only one single bed without a seating area.

Economy Suite

The Economy Suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, and may have a non-opening window instead of a French balcony and seating area.

Location

Beach resort with umbrellas, loungers, and a well-maintained garden area with pools and seating.
The luxurious resort promises holiday dreams under the Egyptian sun. The hotel is located directly on the hotel's own, gently sloping sandy beach and the popular promenade of the tourist resort of Hurghada. Start your holiday with a morning stroll along the beautiful long beach and enjoy the sunrise. The hotel offers numerous activities and an impressive pool landscape, so that water fun is not neglected. In the immediate vicinity of the resort, you will find a variety of great shopping and entertainment opportunities, as well as the city center, which invites you to stroll. Hurghada Airport is approx. 9 km away.

Facilities

The resort consists of 473 rooms, spread across a main building and 2 side wings. The complex has a spacious, friendly lobby with a reception, several bars, and shops. For your culinary enjoyment, there is a Chinese restaurant "L'Asiatique", an à la carte restaurant "Wow" (included once per stay), an Italian restaurant "Soprano", an oriental restaurant "Saffron", and a beach bar with snacks. In the outdoor area, between the main building and the beach, there is a spacious pool landscape with 4 children's pools (heated in winter) with water slides and 2 adult pools (one heated in winter).
