Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all inter-hotel transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The next possible embarkation is always selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven Days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the option to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).
Day 8:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, which are spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner available. Starting from Winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small fitness center that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun deck loungers or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area and French balcony
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same features as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise feature the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same features as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may be without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

Meals

Full board

Breakfast, lunch and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft and hot drinks. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks and one small bottle of water per person are included.

SUNRISE Select Garden Beach Resort

Location

The spacious hotel complex is located directly on the hotel's own 400 m long sandy beach. There is a jetty on the beach that facilitates access to deeper water and creates the perfect conditions for snorkeling. From here, guests can explore the beautiful and diverse underwater world of the Red Sea. The nearest shopping center, the Senzo Mall, is approx. 300 m away. The center of Hurghada is about 20 km away, and Hurghada International Airport is about 15 km away.

In the popular 5-star family resort, you will experience water fun for the whole family! The complex is embedded in a beautiful and generously landscaped garden. Spend a great family holiday and enjoy the Egyptian hospitality. The hotel complex, which is particularly popular with regular guests, features 483 comfortably furnished rooms spread over several three-story buildings. The main building houses the reception, the Sun Ray lobby bar, and the Giardino buffet restaurant. The spacious and well-maintained garden offers a generous pool landscape consisting of three freshwater pools (Moroccan Pool, Aqua Pool, and a children's pool with slides; heatable in winter). A highlight of the resort is the hotel's own aquapark with twelve different water slides (usage from 1.20 m) and a separate area with two children's slides (Octopus, Snake), which make the hearts of big and small water lovers beat faster.
In addition to the buffet restaurant, the resort offers five delicious à la carte restaurants (Italian, Egyptian, Mongolian, Burger, Fusion cuisine (for a fee), reservation required) as well as four other à la carte restaurants at the sister hotel "SENTIDO Mamlouk Palace", which can also be used free of charge (reservation required for each). The 45 m² tastefully furnished Superior Double Rooms (D) feature a telephone, bathroom with shower or bathtub/WC, hairdryer, coffee and tea maker, sitting area, minibar (daily refill with water, weekly refill with soft drinks), air conditioning, safe, TV, balcony or terrace.
Optionally bookable with pool view (DSP) or side sea view (D2S) or for single use (DE, ESP, 1SD). Also bookable as Type I (DI) at a special price, limited availability.

Super Saver Room

The Super Saver Rooms (SSZ) have the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, but with limited availability and a special price.

Deluxe Double Room

The Deluxe Double Rooms (DD2/DD1) feature the same amenities as the standard double rooms, are also approx. 45 m², and additionally include a king-size bed or two single beds, a seating area with a side table, and a vanity table.

Katta Family Room

The Katta Family Rooms (KWF) with bunk beds are bookable as schauinsland-reisen original rooms and appear freshly renovated in Katta style (bookable under KWF and DF2).
The rooms feature additional amenities for the little ones, such as a Katta-style loft bed, a Katta play corner with beanbags and a small table with chairs, as well as an extra Smart TV with HDMI connection and Katta’s height chart on the wall. Furthermore, the electrical outlets are childproofed. The bathrooms are equipped with child-sized towel rails and a step stool for the sink. With the same amenities as the double rooms, these rooms are also approx. 45 m².
Also bookable as a double room (FR2).
For 2 adults and 3 children, there is only limited space available.

Katta Family Suite

The family suites (2FS/FMK) are bookable as schauinsland-reisen original rooms and are renovated.
The suites are approx. 75 m² and consist of two separate bedrooms with one parents' bedroom featuring a king-size bed and another bedroom with two single beds, separated by a hallway. Both rooms have their own bathroom with a shower. The double rooms with king-size beds are equipped analogously to the double rooms and feature a Smart TV with HDMI connection. The rooms with two single beds feature special lighting, a dresser with Smart TV and HDMI connection, as well as a chill-out area with a beanbag. The electrical outlets are childproofed, the bathrooms have a step stool and child-sized towel rails.
Please note that Katta and his friends are not graphically represented in the Katta Family Suites.
The family suites can also be occupied by 4 adults.

The Junior Suites (JS2) are approx. 80 m² and consist of a living/sleeping room with extra sleeping options and a separate bedroom. The rooms also feature a bathroom with a bathtub and a terrace.
Also bookable for single use (JS1).

Beach Front

The Beach Front rooms (BF2) have the same amenities as the double rooms, but are located in the first beach row and feature sea views.

This includes a general area with various games, a PlayStation room with a selection of different PlayStation games, as well as a sleeping and chill-out room for the kids' midday nap. In the evening, a children’s cinema is available to the children in the Mini Club. Painting and cooking classes as well as sports activities round off the program.
