Travel information

Combined product of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always in the cheapest available room category. Embarkation is always on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay is mandatory. The next possible embarkation will always be taken.

Notice

The travel package you have chosen lasts for 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Route

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Visit to the Luxor Museum in the afternoon (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, bookable on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner, and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
In the early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. The ship then continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. You then have the option to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
The ship then continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the option to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).
Day 8:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks from the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The pleasantly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
On the balconies of the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise equipped identically to the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) than the suites, with otherwise identical amenities, and may not have a French balcony and a seating area, but rather a non-opening window.

The Sultan Bey is located directly on one of El Gouna's many lagoons on a peninsula. The downtown area with numerous restaurants, bars, and shops is about 300 meters away. Surrounded by crystal-clear lagoons and beautiful sandy beaches, you'll immediately feel on vacation. On the opposite island, Zeytouna, is the beautiful public sandy beach "Zeytouna Beach" (swimming shoes recommended), which you can reach by a free shuttle boat. A 400-meter-long bathing jetty, the "Zeytouna Pier," facilitates access to deeper water here. On "Zeytouna Island," you can use the à la carte restaurant and sports facilities for a fee. The complex is located about 25 km north of Hurghada. Hurghada Airport is about 40 km away.

The small and cozy hotel complex is built in a classic Egyptian style. The hotel impresses with beautiful courtyards as well as 115 elegantly furnished rooms spread across the main building and several annexes. The hotel has an inviting reception hall with a seating area and lobby bar. The main restaurant, with its beautiful outdoor terrace overlooking the lagoon, caters to your culinary needs. In the well-maintained outdoor area, you will find the swimming pool (heatable) with an integrated children's pool, as well as sun terraces and the pool/snackbar. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and mattresses are included at the pool and "Zeytouna Beach."
