Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers between them. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The journey must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on-site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3rd Day:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
5th Day:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
6th Day:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7th Day:
Breakfast. Afterwards you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).
8th Day:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modern outside cabins, which are distributed across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same features as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise have the same features as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same features as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may be without a French balcony and without a seating area, instead having a non-opening window.

Meals

Full board

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot drinks. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks as well as a small bottle of water per person are included.

Spend the most beautiful time of the year in the wonderful resort of the Albatros Palace Resort. This very spacious holiday resort is located directly on the hotel's own sandy beach with a house reef. Here you can experience the beauty of the Red Sea while diving and snorkeling. The center of Hurghada is about 18 km away, and the airport is approx. 11 km away.

Facilities

Plan your holiday with numerous activities, then relax in the wellness area and enjoy international delicacies in the various restaurants. The appealing upper-class hotel consists of a main building and several side buildings, in which the 621 rooms are distributed. The hotel offers a reception in the luxurious foyer with a spacious lobby, a hairdresser/beauty salon (for a fee), a shopping arcade, and an ATM. Six restaurants, including Asian and Italian cuisine, various bars, cafes, as well as an Oriental pub will delight your palate.
