Travel information

Combination package including a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to the cruise is mandatory. The next available embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven Days in accordance with the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning trip to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit a Nubian village (3).

Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.

Breakfast on board. Afterwards, the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available to you. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same facilities as the suites, but with only one single bed without a seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z), while otherwise having the same facilities as the suites, are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may be without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot beverages. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks and one small bottle of water per person are included.

The Mövenpick Resort & Spa is located in the heart of El Gouna, idyllically situated on one of the many peninsulas with its own exclusive beach, nestled between the Red Sea and a picturesque lagoon. The charming town center of El Gouna, which offers a wealth of restaurants and shops, is about 1.5 km away. The picturesque Abu Tig Marina, an exclusive yacht harbor with a variety of restaurants and shopping opportunities, can be reached after approx. 3.5 km. The resort is located about 27 km north of the center of Hurghada and approx. 40 km from Hurghada Airport.

Facilities

The spacious Mediterranean-style hotel complex comprises a total of 420 rooms, which are harmoniously distributed across seven different buildings. The double rooms deluxe lagoon view (D2L) have, with the same equipment as the double rooms, a view of the lagoon or a side sea view and have a balcony or terrace.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1DL) as well as type I (DLI).

Family room

The family rooms (DF2) have the same equipment as double rooms, but are more spacious (approx. 50 m²) and additionally have an open sleeping area (maisonette) as well as a balcony with a view of the lagoon or the pool.
