Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers between locations. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation date will always be selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your day of arrival and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the Aswan High Dam.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Hot air balloon ride possible at 5 am (optional, bookable on site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 am, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small fitness studio, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and are otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z), with the same facilities as the suites, are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may be without a French balcony and without a seating area, but feature a non-opening window.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot beverages. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks as well as a small bottle of water per person are included.

The family-friendly hotel is located directly on a 1,500-meter-long, beautifully landscaped lagoon with a private hotel beach section in El Gouna, north of Hurghada. A shuttle boat transfer (approx. 15 minutes) takes guests to another private island beach on the open sea, the beautiful Zeytouna Beach. From Zeytouna Beach, a long jetty leads out into the Red Sea. Experience the fascinating underwater world while snorkeling. The center of El Gouna is approx. 350 m away. Hurghada Airport is approx. 25 kilometers away.

Facilities

The resort, built in the Nubian village style, delights guests with a cozy flair, characterized by towers, domes, and arches, and features 434 comfortably furnished rooms spread across several two-story buildings. The resort has a beautiful and inviting reception area with seating and Wi-Fi in all public areas of the resort. Outside, there are four different swimming pools (fitness pool, sunset pool with two smaller slides, Aqua Splash Pool with four different water slides, Dolphin Pool), three of which can be heated in winter. Four children's pools are also available for younger guests, three of which can be heated in winter. One of these pools features small slides and water games. Loungers, pool towels, and umbrellas are provided free of charge at the pools and the hotel's own beach. For your culinary well-being, there is a main restaurant, four different specialty restaurants, and various bars.

Comfort Double Room (DK2)

The tastefully furnished rooms (approx. 21 m²) have been fully renovated and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, minibar (for a fee), air conditioning, telephone, hairdryer, kettle as well as coffee/tea maker, safe, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and balcony or terrace with pool and garden view. Also bookable for single occupancy (DK1).

Premium Room (PR2)

With the same facilities as the double rooms but more spacious (approx. 28 m²), these rooms feature views of the pool/garden or the lagoon. Also bookable for single occupancy (PR1).

Family Room (DF2)

The cozy family rooms have the same features as the double rooms but are more spacious (approx. 37 m²).

Superior Double Room

The newly bookable Superior rooms (DSU, 28 m²) are renovated and offer a choice of different views, depending on the room's location in the hotel – either overlooking the garden or the refreshing pool. The rooms are equipped with two different bed types: a spacious king-size bed or two single beds, depending on preference. The rooms feature free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a kettle, and coffee/tea-making facilities.
Also bookable for 3 people (TDS) and for single occupancy (DSE).

Superior Plus Double Room

The rooms (DSB) are more spacious (approx. 35 m²) with similar features to the Superior Double Rooms. The rooms are renovated and newly bookable.

The main restaurant "Sunny Restaurant" offers breakfast (07-10:00), lunch (12-14:30), and dinner (18.30-21:00) buffet-style. Additionally, the restaurant offers tea time with various snacks from 4-5 pm. Various specialty restaurants are also available: "Greenhouse" with vegan and vegetarian dishes in the morning (7:30-11 am buffet-style), lunch (11 am-3 pm à la carte for a fee), and in the evening (6-9 pm à la carte for a fee with prior reservation). "Lagoon Lunch" at noon (12-3 pm à la carte). "Dolce Vita" with Italian dishes (6:30-9 pm à la carte) as well as "Chez Pascal" with a selection of different specialties (6:30-9 pm à la carte for a fee on Fridays). Soft drinks, hot beverages, and local alcoholic drinks are offered to guests until midnight at six different bars, including the All-Inclusive Bar, Sunset Bar, Dolphin Bar, Lagoon Bar, Lounge Bar, and the Peanuts Bar, which is open until midnight and offers various entertainment and activities. The All-inclusive offer is valid daily until midnight.

Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program allows guests with half board, full board, or All-Inclusive a special culinary experience. Guests can dine in participating restaurants at other hotels – completely without additional costs for the food (drinks excluded).
Depending on the duration of the stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer multiple times: 1x from four nights, up to 3x for five to seven nights, and up to 4x for eight or more nights. Guests from 5-star hotels have access to all participating restaurants. Guests from a 3 or 4-star hotel can dine in establishments of the same category – an upgrade to a 5-star restaurant is possible for a small fee.
A table reservation via the hotel (ideally by 12 pm on the same day) is recommended.
