Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. Boarding is always on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay is mandatory. Boarding will always be on the next possible date.

Notice

The trip you have selected lasts for 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship always takes place for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the boarding day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (bookable optionally on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then, visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca sailing on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then, visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
In the early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast pack is included.
Then, back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship sails on to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Then you have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
Then the ship sails on to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and refresh yourself with cool drinks from the three bars on board. There is also a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. From Winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sundeck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the fantastic views of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The cheerfully furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and feature a shower/toilet, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony. Also available for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks. On the balcony of the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs.

Single Suite

The Single Suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise equipped like the suites, but with only a single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The Economy Suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) than the suites with otherwise identical amenities, and may have a non-opening window instead of a French balcony and seating area.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served buffet-style or as a set menu. Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot beverages. Lunch and dinner include two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person.

The family-friendly hotel is located directly on a beautifully landscaped 1,500-meter-long lagoon with its own beach section in El Gouna, north of Hurghada. A shuttle boat transfer (approx. 15 minutes) takes guests to another private island beach on the open sea, the beautiful Zeytouna Beach. From Zeytouna Beach, a long jetty leads out into the Red Sea. From there, you can experience the fascinating underwater world while snorkeling. The center of El Gouna is about 350 meters away. Hurghada Airport is approximately 25 kilometers away.

Facilities

The complex, built in a Nubian village style, impresses with a cozy atmosphere, characterized by towers, domes, and arches, and features 434 comfortably furnished rooms spread across several two-story buildings. The resort has a beautiful and inviting reception area with seating and Wi-Fi in all public areas of the complex. The outdoor area includes four different swimming pools (fitness pool, sunset pool with two small slides, aqua splash pool with four different water slides, dolphin pool), three of which are heated in winter. There are also four children's pools for the little ones, three of which are heated in winter. One of these pools has small slides and water games. Sun loungers, beach towels, and umbrellas are provided free of charge at the pools and on the hotel's private beach. For your culinary well-being, there is a main restaurant and four different specialty restaurants, as well as various bars.

Double Room Comfort (DK2)

The tastefully furnished rooms (approx. 21 sqm) have been completely renovated and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, minibar (for a fee), air conditioning, telephone, hairdryer, kettle, tea/coffee maker, safe, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and a balcony or terrace with pool and garden view. Also available for single use (DK1).

Premium Room (PR2)

With the same amenities as the double rooms, but more spacious (approx. 28 sqm), these rooms offer pool, garden, or lagoon views. Also available for single occupancy (PR1).

The cozy family rooms have the same features as the double rooms but are more spacious (approx. 37 sqm).

Double Room Superior

The newly bookable Superior rooms (DSU, 28 sqm) have been renovated and offer a choice of different views depending on the room's location in the hotel – either overlooking the garden or the refreshing pool. The rooms are equipped with two different bed types: a spacious king-size bed or two single beds, as desired. The rooms have free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a kettle, and tea/coffee making facilities. The rooms (DSB) are more spacious (approx. 35 sqm) with similar amenities to the double superior rooms. The rooms have been renovated and are newly bookable.

The main restaurant "Sunny Restaurant" offers breakfast (7-10 AM), lunch (12-2:30 PM), and dinner (6:30-9 PM) in buffet style. Additionally, the restaurant offers a tea time with various snacks from 4-5 PM. Various specialty restaurants are also available: "Greenhouse" with vegan and vegetarian dishes in the morning (7:30-11 AM buffet style), lunch (11 AM-3 PM à la carte for a fee) and in the evening (6-9 PM à la carte for a fee with prior reservation). "Lagoon Lunch" at midday (12-3 PM à la carte). "Dolce Vita" with Italian dishes (6:30-9 PM à la carte) and "Chez Pascal" with a selection of various specialties (6:30-9 PM à la carte for a fee on Fridays). Soft drinks, hot beverages, and local alcoholic drinks are served to guests until midnight at six different bars, including the All-Inclusive Bar, Sunset Bar, Dolphin Bar, Lagoon Bar, Lounge Bar, and Peanuts Bar, which is open until midnight and offers various entertainment and activities. Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program offers guests with half board, full board, or all-inclusive a special culinary experience. Guests can dine in participating restaurants of other hotels – completely without additional costs for the food (drinks excluded). Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer multiple times: once for stays of four nights or more, up to 3 times for five to seven nights, and up to 4 times for eight nights or more. Guests of 5-star hotels have access to all participating restaurants. Guests from 3 or 4-star hotels can dine in hotels of the same category – an upgrade to a 5-star restaurant is possible for a small fee.
