Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always in the most reasonably priced available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The journey must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation will always be selected.

Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3) Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
2. Day:
Sightseeing of the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m. hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, sightseeing of the East Bank, the Karnak and Luxor temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
3. Day:
Sightseeing of the West Bank. Morning after breakfast excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
4. Day:
Continue from Esna.
Then on to Aswan, where the overnight stay also takes place.

Morning after breakfast visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).

The ship has a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful exterior cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious dishes. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² in size and have a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole.

Single cabin

With the same equipment as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The SUNRISE Azalea Aqua Park Resort, newly renovated and reopened in 2026, is located in the north of Hurghada, directly on the beach. The spacious and wide beach section with its own jetty invites you to linger and explore the underwater world. Hurghada Airport is about 25 kilometers away, the center of Hurghada approx. 16 kilometers.

Facilities

The schauinsland-reisen Original hotel was extensively renovated in winter 2025/2026 and shines in new splendor in the first beach row of Hurghada. The complex has a total of 569 rooms spread over various building areas, including newly built, popular swim-up rooms. The complex offers guests 5 different pools, which are distributed throughout the complex down to the beach. One of the pools can be heated during the winter months, and one of the pools is for adults only (16 years and older). Additionally, the complex offers three children's pools, all of which are heatable. Embedded in the complex is a spacious aqua park providing water fun for young and old: ten different slides provide daily sliding fun, and six additional slides are located specifically for smaller guests in the children's area. A total of 6 restaurants in the complex (one for a fee) and three further à-la-carte restaurants in the adjacent "SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort," which can be used free of charge, provide the culinary experience. A selection of eight different bars (one for a fee, one exclusive for ages 16 and up) is available throughout the day. Loungers, towels, and sun umbrellas are available to guests free of charge at the pool and beach.

Family suite swim up

With the same facilities as the family suite sea view, these rooms have access to the sharing pool (FSU, approx. 48m²).
Please note that your booked room has a sharing pool and there is no dedicated lifeguard for this pool. When booking with children or non-swimmers, you are responsible for supervision yourself.

Double room superior swim up

With the same facilities as the superior double rooms, these rooms (DWU) are 44m² in size and have a terrace with access to the sharing pool.
Also bookable for single use (WU1).

The rooms (DPB) have similar facility features as the superior double rooms, are slightly more spacious (approx. 35m²), and have pool view.

Family Jacuzzi suite

The spacious Family Jacuzzi Suite (FJZ) with sea view offers plenty of space for the whole family with two separate bedrooms (1 queen bed and 1 twin bedroom) (approx. 80 m²). Equipment includes a seating area, walk-in closet, bathroom with walk-in shower, as well as a balcony with a private outdoor Jacuzzi. The spacious Junior Jacuzzi Suite (JJ2) with sea view offers a stylish ambiance for relaxing holidays (approx. 80 m²). Equipped with a bedroom with a queen-size bed, cozy seating area, and bathroom with walk-in shower, it ensures high living comfort. A special highlight is the terrace with a private outdoor Jacuzzi. The holiday resort has six different restaurants: Heliodoro buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a midnight snack; Basilico breakfast and dinner in buffet form as well as à-la-carte in the evening; Manzoku Asian cuisine in the evening in à-la-carte form; Manohar Indian cuisine in the evening in à-la-carte form; Yades Greek cuisine at lunch and dinner in à-la-carte form; Felucca seafood in the evening in à-la-carte form. The à-la-carte restaurants must be reserved on site, the restaurant Felucca is for a fee.
Furthermore, the following three à-la-carte restaurants are available in the evening at the neighboring hotel "SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort" by reservation: Gamila (Egyptian cuisine), Frida (Mexican cuisine), Elia (Mediterranean cuisine). Snacks are available in the Mayfair Lounge (coffee, tea, and cake) as well as at the Burger Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Eight different bars, two of them for ages 16 and up and one for a fee, are available at different times, some around the clock.
