Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The journey must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to the cruise is mandatory. The next available embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven Days according to the program. Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3) Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2. Day:
Visit to the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 am hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, the Karnak and Luxor temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
3. Day:
Visit to the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening, cruise to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
4. Day:
Continue from Esna.
Then continue to Aswan, where the overnight stay will take place.

In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Then opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

6. Day:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Cruise to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight stay on board.

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals for your well-being. The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole.

The beautiful hotel complex is located directly in the heart of Makadi Bay next to the popular sister hotel "SUNRISE Royal Makadi Resort Select" (HRG223). The holiday resort is located in the first beach row at the most beautiful snorkeling and diving spots of the Bay, thus offering the opportunity to explore the breathtaking underwater world of the Red Sea directly from the gently sloping beach.
The city center of Hurghada is approx. 37 km away. Hurghada Airport is approx. 32 km away.

Facilities

The Schauinsland-Reisen original hotel was built in a noble Bohemian style and has 240 rooms and suites spread over various building complexes. With its unique and high-quality dining concept, the hotel stands out in Egypt and offers you a choice of a total of three of its own à la carte restaurants ("Lucina" international cuisine, "Gaia" Italian cuisine, as well as "Yades" Greek cuisine) for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The à la carte restaurant "Posh Club Lounge" is available exclusively to Posh Club members and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additionally, guests of the "SUNRISE Tucana Resort Grand Select" can use the eight à la carte restaurants of the sister hotel "SUNRISE Royal Makadi Resort Select" free of charge, with a diverse selection in the evening. The Felucca, which offers fish and seafood, is for a fee. Furthermore, a total of eight different bars are available. The "Posh Club Lounge" is only available to members of the Posh Club. The Cohiba Bar (Adults-Only) is accessible to all guests and serves, among other things, imported alcoholic drinks from 6 pm to 1 am. In the spacious outdoor area of the hotel, there are three pools (heatable in winter). One is only usable by members of the Posh Club (adults-only pool). Lexi Swim Up Suite Poolview

The Lexi Swim Up Suite (SWP) is larger (approx. 43 m²) with the same features as the Superior double rooms. The rooms have a terrace with access to the swim-up shared pool. On the terrace, there is a dining table and two separate sun loungers.
Rooms with direct access to the sharing pool do not have their own swimming supervision and pose an increased risk potential for small children and non-swimmers. The supervisory duty at the pool therefore lies with the guardians.

Double room Superior

The friendly furnished rooms (DSU, approx. 35 m²) are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, and balcony or terrace.

The Deluxe double rooms (DD2) are larger (approx. 40 m²) with the same features as the Superior double rooms and have garden views.

The Junior suites garden view (JS2) are larger (approx. 43m²) with the same features as the Superior double and have a terrace. Also bookable for single use/with child. (JS1/J1K)

The Junior suites Jacuzzi (2JJ, approx. 36 m²) have the same features as the Superior double rooms, but with a private Jacuzzi outside on the terrace.

The unique dining concept offers you breakfast from 7-10:30 am, lunch from 1-4 pm, and dinner from 7-10 pm in one of the hotel's three à la carte restaurants ("Lucina", "Gaia", "Yades"). As a Posh Club member (booked suite), you also have the option of having your breakfast exclusively in the "Posh Club Lounge". A sparkling wine breakfast is included for you in all four restaurants. Additionally, dinner can alternatively be enjoyed in the buffet restaurant or in one of the eight different à la carte restaurants of the "SUNRISE Royal Makadi Resort Select" (Mexican, Italian, Asian, Mediterranean, Steak, Diet and Light, Bedouin restaurant). The à la carte restaurant "Lucina" is open as a snack bar around the clock for you (alcoholic drinks are not served between 6 am and 10 am). The Felucca is for a fee.
