Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all inter-hotel transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to the cruise is mandatory. The next possible embarkation date will always be selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven Days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Depending on the embarkation day, the itinerary may change.
Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3) Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Sightseeing of the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m. excursion by hot air balloon (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, sightseeing of the East Bank, the Karnak and Luxor Temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Sightseeing of the West Bank. Morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Continue from Esna.
Then continue to Aswan, where the overnight stay will take place.
Lunch and dinner, as well as overnight on board.
Day 5:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Trip to Kom Ombo with a visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Continue to Esna and visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3). Overnight on board.
Day 8:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship features a welcoming reception and a total of 72 beautiful exterior cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals for your well-being. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Cabins

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² and feature a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
The cabins can also be booked for single occupancy (K1 or KA1).

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and feature a small round window.

Cabin single occupancy

With the same equipment as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The Albatros Makadi Resort is located in the popular Makadi Bay. The Albatros Makadi Resort is only approx. 35 km away from Hurghada International Airport. The hotel, in a first-class location, is situated directly on a 600-meter-long, white sandy beach and offers the perfect conditions for swimming. The offshore house reef offers ideal opportunities and conditions for snorkeling to explore the beautiful and colorful underwater world of the Red Sea.

Facilities

The completely renovated resort has 869 spacious rooms, which are spread over several buildings. In addition, the hotel is equipped with a cozy lobby and various shops. Six buffet restaurants and two snack restaurants (Asian, Oriental, Italian, Seafood, Steakhouse, and much more) as well as five bars provide for your well-being.

The Deluxe double rooms are identical in size and equipment to the Deluxe double rooms with sea view, but do not have sea view (DD2/DD3/1DD). Additionally bookable with orientation towards the sea side (X2M/X1M) or with garden view (DDA).

Splash room aqua park view

The rooms (HD2) are approx. 106 m² and consist of two rooms with a connecting door (one bedroom with a king-size bed and one with twin beds). The rooms feature two bathrooms with shower, air conditioning, satellite TV, safe, coffee/tea maker, dressing area, minibar (water free of charge daily), and a spacious balcony with a view of the aqua park.

These family rooms are 2 rooms of the Deluxe double room category separated by a connecting door and have a pool view. They are each approx. 40-45 m² and attractively equipped with shower/bath, air conditioning, satellite TV, safe, coffee/tea maker, minibar (water free of charge daily), and balcony (FVP).

Family room pool view

The family rooms (FPD) are approx. 53 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (water and soft drinks included), coffee/tea maker, TV, telephone (for a fee), safe, Wi-Fi, and terrace. The rooms consist of one room and have a pool view.

The Deluxe family rooms are approx. 55 m² and have one double bed and two twin beds, which are separated by an optical room divider. The rooms have a garden view (2DF).
