Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all connecting transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most economical room category available. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay prior to the cruise is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation date will always be used.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Tour of the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m. optional hot air balloon excursion (can be booked locally).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Tour of the West Bank. Morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Continue sailing from Esna.
Afterwards, proceed to Aswan, where the overnight stay takes place.
Lunch and dinner, as well as overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterward, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.

You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Sailing to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight stay on board.

The ship features a welcoming reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals for your physical well-being. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins but are located on the lower decks and have a small circular window.

Single cabin

Same equipment as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

Located directly on the beautiful, long sandy beach of the idyllic Makadi Bay, the popular Iberotel Makadi Beach hotel is the perfect choice. Experience the colorful underwater world of the Red Sea. The hotel's own reef reaches the shore in places, offering excellent diving and snorkeling conditions. Just a few meters from the hotel is the Makadi Souk, where you can browse for souvenirs or enjoy oriental dishes in one of the nice restaurants. Hurghada is approx. 35 km north.

Facilities

The spacious complex, featuring two-story residential units extending along the pool and garden landscape to the beach, leaves nothing to be desired. The hotel has 313 rooms, an inviting entrance hall with lobby and reception, a Fun Pub, and various shops and boutiques. A main restaurant, two à-la-carte restaurants, and an oriental restaurant cater to your culinary needs. Further à-la-carte restaurants are available to guests in Madinat Makadi for a fee.
