Location

The modern hotel complex, newly opened in April 2022, is located directly on the 250-meter long private sandy beach in the heart of the picturesque Makadi Bay. This enchanting bay is particularly popular with diving and snorkeling enthusiasts and offers ideal conditions for discovering the fascinating underwater world of the Red Sea. Makadi Bay is located south of Hurghada and is a sought-after holiday resort with numerous restaurants, shops, and entertainment options. Hurghada Airport is approximately 30 kilometers away.

Xanadu Makadi Bay combines comfort and luxury for an unforgettable holiday experience. The modernly designed hotel complex offers 815 spacious rooms spread across a main building and several annex buildings. Thanks to its unique architecture, Xanadu Makadi Bay creates a special atmosphere that enchants guests from the very beginning. The generous reception area with seating provides a warm welcome. Culinary delights are served in a main restaurant and seven à la carte restaurants: "Dolce Vita" (Italian), "Ariel" (Seafood), "La Cascade" (French), "Taj Mahal" (Indian), "Turkuaz" (Turkish), "Dragon" (Far Eastern cuisine/for a fee) and "Agora" (Middle Eastern). Reservations are required, and from Winter 2024/25, one visit per stay is included; thereafter, a fee applies. Several bars complement the gastronomic offer. In the spacious, beautifully designed outdoor area, guests can enjoy two pools and three children's pools, some of which can be heated in winter. The hotel's own water park with 13 slides for children and 14 for adults offers water fun for all ages. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and bath towels are available free of charge at both the pool and the beach.

Accommodation

Double Room Superior (DSU)

The rooms are approx. 35-45 m² and feature a shower/WC, telephone, TV, hairdryer, minibar, safe, air conditioning, coffee/tea maker, bathrobe, slippers, and a balcony. The rooms are located in the main building and have garden views.
Side sea view (DSS/Q2A) or direct sea view (DMU) are also available at an additional charge, as is single occupancy (DEU, 1SD, UME).
Also available in the annex building as a Double Room Superior Dune (DSB/UB1).

Double Superior Swim Up (DWP)

With the same amenities as the Double Superior, but approx. 45 m² with a terrace and direct access to the Swim Up Sharing Pool. The rooms are located in the main building.
Also available for single use (EWP) or Superior Swim Up Dune in the annex building (SWB).

Junior Suite (JS2)

With the same amenities as the Double Superior, but larger (approx. 81 m²), consisting of a bedroom and a living room with a connecting door and two bathrooms with shower. The rooms have pool or side sea view and are located in the main building.

Family Room (DF2)

With the same amenities as the Double Superior, but larger (approx. 73-103 m²), consisting of two bedrooms with a connecting door, one bathroom, balcony, and garden view. The rooms are located in the main building.

Lagoon Swim Up Suite (TSW)

With the same amenities as the Double Superior, but larger (approx. 72-75 m²), consisting of a bedroom and an additional living/sleeping area with a connecting door, two bathrooms, and a terrace.

Lagoon Duplex Suite (SB)

With the same amenities as the Double Superior, but larger (approx. 175 m²), consisting of two bedrooms with a connecting door, a living room, and three bathrooms.
Also available at an additional charge as a Lagoon Duplex Swim Up Suite (BSU).

Family Room Superior Dune (HRGB17)

These rooms are approx. 60-80 m² in size, located in the Dune annex building, and offer 2 bedrooms, shower/WC, and a balcony (F2U).

All Inclusive

Ultra All Inclusive (UAI)

Breakfast from 7 AM to 11 AM, lunch from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and dinner from 6 PM to 9 PM, all served as buffets.
Late dinner from 11 PM to 2 AM.
Alternatively, breakfast can be enjoyed from 7 AM to 11 AM at the "Dolce Vita" à la carte restaurant (Adults-Only) or "Ariel" (for families).
A selection of five à la carte restaurants is also available for dinner from 6:30 PM to 9 PM (reservations required, included once per stay from Winter 24/25. Afterwards, a fee applies).
Seafood and Far Eastern à la carte restaurants are available for a fee.
The "Agora Snack Restaurant" offers snacks and drinks from 11 AM to 5 PM, at the "Xanadu" snack bar from 12 PM to 4 PM. Ice cream is also available from 11 AM to 6 PM. (In the Agora snack restaurants, between 12 PM and 2:30 PM in Fancyland, and for lunch and dinner in the main restaurant.)
Local premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are included 24/7 at the Lobby and Lagoon Bar. A small selection of imported beverages is also available to guests.

The "Fancyland" Kids Club is sure to delight children and is open from 9:30 AM to 10 PM. Covering a total area of 1,500 m², it offers plenty of play and fun. "Fancyland" is divided into three areas, each with an indoor and outdoor section and various playrooms:
The "Baby Club" area is for children aged 0-3 years (only with parental supervision).
The "Mini Club" area is for children aged 4-7 years.
The "Teens" area is for children aged 8-16 years.
In addition, the complex offers a mini disco, an adventure playground, a children's buffet, and a Water Fun Park for children aged 4-7 years. Babysitters and baby monitors are available subject to availability for a fee, and high chairs are available in the restaurant upon request.

Wellness

The entry visa for all travel services booked with Schauinsland-Reisen is not included in the travel price.
