The Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets is located amidst beautiful nature and directly on the sea on the dreamlike Isla Mujeres. The transfer from the mainland takes approximately 25 minutes by exclusive resort boat. The International Airport is about 40 km away.

From now on, hotels in Mexico will gradually introduce an "Eco-Tax".
This means that every user of a hotel room in Mexico is obliged to pay a tax to the state locally at the hotel in cash, similar to a tourist tax.

A tourism tax came into force on April 1, 2021, and currently amounts to a one-time payment of 224 Mexican Pesos or approximately 11 US Dollars per person, regardless of the planned duration of stay in the country.

Alternatively, the tax can be paid in cash upon arrival at the airport. It is advisable to carry the exact amount in Mexican Pesos or US Dollars.

Smoking Ban

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished by fines or imprisonment.

Season Notice

For stays between April and December, increased amounts of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management is of course making efforts to clean the beach in cooperation with the municipality. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which causes a slight noise level.
