The hotel is located directly on the sandy beach of Playa Bavaro. Restaurants, bars, and various shopping and entertainment facilities are nearby. The Punta Cana International Airport is only 25 km away.

The Iberostar Selection Bavaro, completely renovated in winter 19/20, has a total of 598 rooms that leave nothing to be desired. They are spread across several two-story bungalows within the tropically landscaped hotel complex. The hotel also has a lobby with a reception, a buffet restaurant, 6 à la carte restaurants (Greek, Gourmet, Italian, Japanese, Mexican, and Steakhouse), a beach restaurant, 5 bars, a swim-up bar, a garden area with a lagoon-style pool landscape, a sun terrace, and a snack bar.

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites have a sleeping and living area with a sofa bed, coffee/tea maker, minibar, air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, WiFi (incl.), telephone, bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, and balcony or terrace (JS2/JS1/KJ1/KJ2). Also bookable as Oceanfront Junior Suite (2JO) and in winter as Super Saver Room (SSZ/SSE).

Junior Suite Tropical View

With the same amenities and size as the Junior Suites, these are closer to the sea and additionally offer turndown service (1x per stay), garden or pool view (PTZ). Also bookable closer to the pool than Junior Suite Near Pool (NPS). Also bookable closer to the beach than Junior Suite Near Beach (JNB) or first beachfront with sea view as Junior Suite Ocean Front (2JO).

Family Suite

Otherwise with the same amenities and size as the Junior Suites, these consist of two Junior Suites with a connecting door (2FS/KF3/KF5/KF6).

Spa Junior Suite

With the same amenities and size as the Junior Suites with a king-size bed or two double beds, tea set, bathrobes (J2F).

Features the Winnow system to reduce food waste, 3R equipment for
waste management in hotels, and installed drinking water fountains.
Guests staying in the Bávaro complex can visit the Coral Lab to see corals
and learn more about them. Thanks to the two coral nurseries in front of the hotel where we are working with our scientific team to restore the reefs.
The hotel has its own composting plant. Organic waste is converted into compost that we can use for our gardens.
We are part of the country's national mangrove restoration program, and in the
Bávaro complex, we have planted over 19,000 mangroves donated by the Ministry of Environment.
Beehives are being saved and brought to the apiary, which we have in the complex and which can be visited by all guests.
In cooperation with the National Aquarium, the Dominican Republic's Institute for Environmental Law, and the Blue Flag program, the National Aquarium is rescuing turtles. Once they reach a suitable size and health, they are released on the beaches of the Iberostar hotels.

Seasonal information

For stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, there is often an increased occurrence of brown algae in the Caribbean during this period. The beach and sea are affected by this. The hotel management and local authorities are naturally striving to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which emits a slight noise.
