Location

The Sonnenhotel Zum Stern is located approximately 1.7 km from the center. Cafés and restaurants are reachable after about 700 m and shopping facilities after about 500 m. Facilities

Partially renovated in 2022, the Sonnenhotel Zum Stern with a total of 46 rooms offers guests a reception, a terrace, as well as the beautiful wellness area "Sternenreich" (approx. 250 m²) with a sauna and an indoor pool. The creative kitchen team artfully plates down-to-earth Austrian and international dishes, ensuring that every meal becomes a culinary experience. At the foot of the Schlossalm and Hohen Scharte, the Sonnenhotel Zum Stern is an oasis of peace and relaxation. For guests who enjoy cycling, there is a hotel-owned bicycle storage room and an e-bike charging station available.

Double Room Alpin Zimmer Deluxe

The "Schlossalm" double rooms feature a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with a bathtub or shower, toilet, and hairdryer. Additionally, the room is equipped with a TV, telephone, radio, minibar (for a fee), and a balcony (approx. 25m², D).

Double Room Alpenblick Deluxe Type A

These traditionally decorated rooms are similar in furnishings and size to the double rooms and are offered as an additional contingent (approx. 25m², DS).

Double Room Alpenblick de Luxe

The cozy rooms are more spacious but are equivalent in amenities to the double room (approx. 35m², DD2).

Studio

The "Ankogel" studios are approximately 53m² and consist of a bedroom with a single bed and a living-sleeping area with a double bed and a single sofa bed. The bathroom offers a bathtub or shower, toilet, and hairdryer. Further amenities include a TV, telephone, radio, and minibar (for a fee) (S12).
From Summer 2025, the room name will be: Living Studio Deluxe (S12).

Suite

The suites (approx. 95m²) have two bedrooms with a double bed and a twin room, a cozy living room, a luxurious bathroom with a shower and corner bathtub/WC, a separate second toilet, free Wi-Fi, telephone, cable TV, radio, minibar, safe, and hairdryer (S22).

Single Room (Winter 25/26)

The single rooms have cable TV, telephone, radio, minibar (for a fee), bathtub or shower, toilet, and hairdryer. The rooms consist of a sleeping area with a single bed. The average room size is approximately 20m² (E).

NEW from Summer 2025: For all guests staying in the state of Salzburg from May 1st, 2025, there will be a new levy, the "Mobility Tax." The fee will be collected parallel to the local tax per night and will be used for the expansion of transport. In return, all guests will receive free use of public transport at their vacation destination. The levy must be paid regardless of whether public transport is used.
