Location

The Castle Suites apartment complex is located in the center of Platanias, just 150 m from the nearest sand/pebble beach and about 45 km from Chania International Airport. Heraklion Airport can be reached in approx. 150 km. A bus stop with connections to the surrounding area is within walking distance.

Facilities

The complex with 115 studios and apartments is quietly nestled in a well-kept environment. Facilities include a 24-hour reception, a small spa area, a billiards room, a gym, and a luggage room. Culinary delights are provided by a pool and snack bar with a rooftop garden and ice cream parlor, as well as the à la carte restaurant "Castro" with a terrace, offering Cretan and Mediterranean cuisine (for a fee). A mini-market caters to daily needs during opening hours from 7 am to 11 pm, and free showers are available for late departures. Wi-Fi is free in all areas. Three outdoor pools with free sun loungers, a sun terrace, and a well-maintained garden invite you to relax, while a playground is available for the youngest guests.

Studio

The bathroom is equipped with a shower or bathtub, toilet, hairdryer, and toiletries. The studios, furnished in a traditional Greek style, have a double bed, individually adjustable air conditioning (for a fee), a safe, TV, a kitchenette with a mini-fridge, two hot plates, a coffee machine, a kettle, kitchen utensils, and a dining area with a table and chairs. All units have a balcony or terrace. Towels and bed linen are included (S12).

Studio Classic

With the same amenities as the Studio, the Classic Studio is slightly larger and additionally features a sofa bed (S13).

Apartment

The apartment, with the same amenities as the studios, consists of a separate bedroom and a living room. Equipped for up to 3 people, it offers a double bed and a sofa bed (A12).
Alternatively, it can also be booked as a more spacious apartment type A for up to 4 people (APP).

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government charges a climate resilience levy, which is to be paid by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will be tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room starting from 01.01.2025.
