Location

The city hotel Mare Olympus is an apartment complex located near the center of the port town of Agios Nikolaos. The sand/pebble beach is approx. 30 m from the hotel. Restaurants and shopping facilities are in the walkable vicinity. The nearest bus stop is approx. 1 km away. The distance to Heraklion Airport is approx. 62 km.

Facilities

The small city hotel has a total of 40 studios and apartments and is equipped with a lobby with a reception desk open from 6 am to 1 am. There is also a pool with free sunshades and loungers on the sun terrace. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available for a fee on the beach. Bath towels can be rented for a deposit. Further facilities include the buffet restaurant "Kyma", the pool/snackbar and an elevator. Wi-Fi is available free of charge within the complex.

Studio

The studios, which have a combined living/sleeping area, are equipped with a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone and a rental safe. The kitchenette of the studio has a refrigerator, oven, hob, kettle, toaster, coffee/tea station and a dining table. All studios have a balcony or terrace (S12).

Apartment 1 bedroom side sea view

With the same amenities as the studios, the apartments have a separate bedroom and a side sea view (A2S).

With the same amenities as the studios, the apartment has two separate bedrooms and a direct sea view (A2M).

Breakfast (8-10 am) and dinner (7-9 pm) in buffet form (Greek, international). Drinks are not included with the Half Board meal plan during dinner.
An early bird breakfast (3-8 am) and a late breakfast (10 am-1 pm) are available upon request.

Breakfast (8-10 am), lunch (1-2:30 pm) and dinner (7-9 pm) in buffet form. Snacks are served from 11 am to 1 pm. The hotel offers ice cream from 11 am to 4 pm. At 4 pm and 5 pm, there is also a selection of coffee, tea, cake and pastries.
During lunch and dinner, water, soft drinks, local wine and draft beer are served.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included at the bar from 11 am to 11 pm.
An early bird breakfast (3-8 am) and a late breakfast (10 am-1 pm) are available upon request.

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from 01.01.2018, the Greek government is levying a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will be tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room from 01.01.2025.
