Location

Nika Island Resort & Spa is a piece of Maldivian history, one of the first islands in the north of Ari Atoll - an island where nothing has changed. The popular resort is located on the tropical island, measuring 309m x 168m. Nika Island Resort & Spa is just a 25-minute seaplane ride from Velana International Airport. An island where the typical concepts of Maldivian tradition and beauty merge with Italian culture.

The unique architecture of this luxurious resort with a total of 43 villas impresses with surprisingly ample privacy. Amenities include a lobby with a reception and a cozy seating area, an adjoining coffee shop bar, and a small library. For culinary delights, the main restaurant offers Italian, local, oriental, and international delicacies, along with a selection of over 100 wines. The "Bepi Bar" at the main restaurant in the northeast of the island completes the gastronomic offerings. A very special experience is the museum on the island, which encompasses two concepts: the preservation of the old and the creation of the new. An old furnace stands there, used for casting and forging metals. You can also explore a labyrinth of tunnels, an underground gallery with artifacts, creations, and artworks by local artists. The new museum is a place that reflects the beauty of the Maldives, preserves folklore, and enlivens the folklore and heritage of a nation composed of thousands of islands.

Garden Room Double Room

Located in the garden area in the interior of the island, these rooms are approx. 35 sqm, air-conditioned, and offer garden views. Equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobes, beach towels, safe, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, coffee/tea making facilities, minibar (for a fee), and a terrace. (GZ2/DA)

Beach Villa

The spacious Beach Villas (75 sqm), with the same amenities as the Garden Bungalows, are located on the north side of the island and additionally feature a separate living area and a private beach section with a daybed, sun umbrella, jacuzzi, seating area, and a Hollywood swing. (2BV/BVZ)

Deluxe Beach Villa

The Deluxe Beach Villas, with the same amenities, are approximately 100 sqm in size, are located on the sunset side, and additionally feature a semi-open bathroom with an outdoor shower. (D2V/HR2)

Water Villa

The spacious Water Villas (75 sqm) have an air-conditioned bedroom, an ante-room with a seating area, a separate living room, and a private terrace with loungers and direct sea access (ladder). Speedboat: Operation for estimated arrival/departure between 5 am and 11 pm // Domestic flight: Operation for arrivals/departures between 9:30 am and 4 pm // Seaplane: Operation for arrivals/departures between 9 am and 3 pm.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
With seaplane transfers, there may be 1-2 intermediate landings.
For arrivals/departures outside the times mentioned above, in case of bad weather, or for longer waiting times upon entry, an overnight stay in Male may be necessary.
Nika Green Path:
Nika Island Resort follows its own ecological sustainability protocol called "Nika Green Path", which includes self-production of drinking water, cultivation of vegetables at Kilometer 0 (on Nika) using both traditional farming and aquaponics. The elimination of single-use plastic portions and courtesy lines, towel replacement upon request, composting of organic waste through a special facility, the use of a state-of-the-art incinerator, pest control without chemical agents.
Recycling of plastic through "Parley for the Oceans", care for the coral garden around Nika's coral reef, use of ecological and biodegradable cleaning agents, in-house production, craftsmanship with the involvement of old professionals through local carpenters and artists, research into minimal impact in every department, implementation of disclosure to guests and local islands, and many other measures.

Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on the island's location) and currently often domestic flights are only operated during the day. Therefore, an overnight stay in Male may be required.

The luggage limit for seaplanes is 20 kg + 3 kg hand luggage per person. Excess baggage must be paid for on site (approx. USD 5 per kg). Excess baggage is usually delivered by boat later.
