Location

The popular hotel Iberotel Makadi Beach is located directly on the beautiful and long sandy beach of the idyllic Makadi Bay. Experience the colorful underwater world of the Red Sea. The hotel's own reef grows to the shore in places, offering excellent diving and snorkeling conditions. The Makadi Souk is just a few meters from the hotel, where you can look for souvenirs or enjoy oriental dishes in one of the nice restaurants. Hurghada is about 35 km to the north.

Facilities

The spacious complex with two-story units, extending along the pool and garden landscape to the beach, leaves nothing to be desired. The hotel has 313 rooms, an inviting reception hall with a lobby and reception, a fun pub, and shops and boutiques. The main restaurant and two à la carte restaurants, as well as an oriental restaurant, cater to your culinary needs. Further à la carte restaurants are available to guests in Madinat Makadi for a fee.
In the extensive outdoor area, there is a swimming pool (heated in winter) and a swimming pool with an adjacent children's pool and waterfall, a sun terrace, and a pool bar and a pool restaurant. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge on the beach and by the pool.

Double Superior

The Double Superior rooms (DSU) are tastefully and comfortably furnished (approx. 36 sqm) with a shower/WC, bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer, air conditioning, tiled floor, satellite TV, telephone, safe. Upon arrival, you will find apples, cookies, and a balcony or terrace with garden or pool view.
Also available as single occupancy (DEU/ESP/1SD/EMU) or with pool view (DSP), side sea view (DSS), or sea view (DMU).

Double Room Superior Sea View Guaranteed Top Floor

The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen Original Rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Double Superior rooms and have a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be on the top floor of the hotel, offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Junior Suite Side Sea View

The Junior Suites (J2S) have the same amenities as the Double Superior rooms but are larger (approx. 50 sqm) with a living area and coffee machine, and a side sea view.

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on MS Magic I and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. Boarding is always on Mondays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay in Hurghada is mandatory. The next possible boarding will always be taken.

Day 1:
Transfer from Hurghada to Cairo by our luxury VIP bus (approx. 6 hours drive).
Upon arrival at the port, welcome drink. Check-in on board. Lunch and dinner on board and overnight stay in Cairo.
There is an option for an optional evening excursion to visit historical Cairo, such as the Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, Moez Street, and the Sound and Light show in the Pyramid area (can be booked locally).
Day 2:
Breakfast on board. Visit to the Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx (1,2). Afterwards, visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum (2). Lunch at a restaurant during the excursion. Return to the ship and departure to Beni Suef (approx. 15 hours drive). Dinner on board and overnight stay in Beni Suef.
Day 3:
After breakfast, optional visit to the Hawara and Lahoun Pyramids of the Middle Kingdom. Continue to Al Minya City (approx. 15 hours drive). Lunch on board during the journey. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Al Minya.
Day 4:
Breakfast. Visit to Tel El Amarna "The City of Akhetaten" (2), followed by a visit to the Beni Hassan Tombs (2). Afterwards, return to the ship and lunch on board. Continue to Assiut (approx. 10 hours drive). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Assiut.
Day 5:
Early morning departure to Sohag (approx. 10 hours drive). In the afternoon, optional visit to the White and Red Monasteries in Sohag. Meals on board and overnight stay in Sohag.
Day 6:
Early in the morning, the ship will cross the Sohag Bridge and continue the journey to Al Balyana (approx. 4 hours drive). After breakfast, opportunity to visit the Temple of Seti I in Abydos (2). Afterwards, return to the ship in Al Balyana and continue to Nag Hammadi. Meals on board and overnight stay in Nag Hammadi.
Day 7:
Breakfast on board, transfer by bus (130 km south) to visit the capital of ancient Upper Egypt "The charming city of Luxor". The full-day tour includes a visit to the Valley of the Queens and the Valley of the Artisans (2). Lunch at a restaurant during the excursion. Option for an optional excursion to the Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Nag Hammadi.
Day 8:
After breakfast, check-out and transfer to Hurghada by bus. On the way, you will visit the Temple of the Goddess Hathor in Dendera (1,2) and then continue to Hurghada. A lunch snack is included. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Hurghada.

The ship has a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread across several decks. The main restaurant with delicious dishes caters to your culinary needs. A reading corner and a lounge bar complement the offerings. A jeweler and a bazaar invite you to browse. There is also a billiards room on board. On the spacious sun deck with a pool and bar, you can relax and enjoy your vacation.
