Location

The Mövenpick Resort & Spa is located in the heart of El Gouna, idyllically situated on one of the numerous peninsulas with its own exclusive beach, nestled between the Red Sea and a picturesque lagoon. The charming town center of El Gouna, offering a wealth of restaurants and shops, is about 1.5 km away. The picturesque Abu Tig Marina, an exclusive marina with a variety of restaurants and shopping opportunities, is about 3.5 km away. The resort is located about 27 km north of the center of Hurghada and about 40 km from Hurghada Airport.

The spacious hotel complex in Mediterranean style comprises a total of 420 rooms, harmoniously spread across seven different buildings. The particularly spacious and elegantly furnished reception hall welcomes guests with a stylish reception and comfortable seating; safes are available free of charge. The buffet restaurant "Palavrion" and three à la carte restaurants offering an exquisite selection of seafood, oriental, and Italian specialties cater to culinary highlights. The offer is rounded off by a cozy bar, two pool bars, and a souvenir shop. The hotel's own spa area invites you to relax with six different treatment rooms. The extensive outdoor area features a well-maintained garden landscape with three pools and a separate children's pool, some of which are heated in winter. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and towels are available free of charge at both the pool and the beach.

The modernly furnished double rooms (D) are spacious (approx. 40 sqm) equipped with a king-size bed or two twin beds, shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, flat-screen satellite TV, telephone, coffee and tea maker, minibar, Wi-Fi, safe (free of charge) and a terrace with garden view.

Double Room Deluxe Sea View

The Double Rooms Deluxe Sea View (DDM) are equipped like the double rooms, but also have a sea view and a balcony or terrace. Sparkling wine upon arrival.

Double Room Deluxe Lagoon View

The Double Rooms Deluxe Lagoon View (D2L) have the same amenities as the Double Rooms, but overlook the lagoon and have a balcony or terrace.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1DL) as well as type I (DLI).

Family Room

The Family Rooms (DF2) have the same amenities as the double rooms, but are more spacious (approx. 50 sqm) and also have an open sleeping area (maisonette) and a balcony overlooking the lagoon or the pool.

Breakfast buffet at "Palavrion" from 7-10:30 a.m., late riser breakfast from 10:30-11 a.m., lunch from 1-3 p.m. and dinner from 6-10 p.m. either at "Palavrion" (buffet) or at the à la carte restaurant "Gallery" (Italian) from 6:30-10 p.m.
Afternoon snacks from 12-4 p.m., ice cream from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and coffee, tea, and cake from 3-5 p.m.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the respective open bar.
The minibar is replenished daily with drinks (snacks at a charge).

Dine Around

The Dine-Around program allows guests with Half Board, Full Board, or All-Inclusive to enjoy a special culinary experience. Guests can dine in participating restaurants at other hotels – at no extra cost for the food (drinks excluded).
Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer multiple times: 1x for stays of four nights or more, up to 3x for five to seven nights, and up to 4x for eight nights or more. Guests from 5-star hotels have access to all participating restaurants. Guests from a 3 or 4-star hotel can dine in establishments of the same category – an upgrade to a 5-star restaurant is possible for a small fee.

Product information

Combined product of a Nile cruise on MS Magic I and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. Boarding is always on Mondays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay in Hurghada is mandatory. The next possible boarding will always be taken.

Day 1:
Transfer from Hurghada to Cairo with our luxury VIP bus (approx. 6 hours drive).
Upon arrival at the port, welcome drink. Check-in on board. Lunch and dinner on board and overnight stay in Cairo.
There is an option for an optional evening excursion to visit historic Cairo, such as the Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, Moez Street, and the Sound and Light Show in the Pyramid area (bookable locally).
Day 2:
Breakfast on board. Visit to the Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx (1.2). Afterwards, visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum (2). Lunch in a restaurant during the excursion. Return to the ship and departure to Beni Suif (approx. 15 hours drive). Dinner on board and overnight stay in Beni Suif.
Day 3:
After breakfast, optional visit to the Hawara and Lahoun Pyramids of the Middle Kingdom. Continue to Al Minya City (approx. 15 hours drive). Lunch on board during the journey. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Al Minya.
Day 4:
Breakfast. Visit to Tel El Amarna "The City of Akhetaton" (2), followed by a visit to the Beni Hassan Tombs (2). Afterwards, return to the ship and lunch on board. Continue to Assuit (approx. 10 hours drive). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Assuit.
Day 5:
Early morning departure to Suhag (approx. 10 hours drive). In the afternoon, optional visit to the White and Red Monasteries in Suhag. Meals on board and overnight stay in Suhag.
Day 6:
Early in the morning, the ship will cross the Suhag Bridge and continue the journey to Al Balyana (approx. 4 hours drive). After breakfast, possibility to visit the Temple of Seti I in Abydos (2). Afterwards, return to the ship in Al Balyana and continue to Nag Hammadi. Meals on board and overnight stay in Nag Hammadi.
Day 7:
Breakfast on board, transfer by bus (130 km south) to visit the capital of ancient Upper Egypt "The charming city of Luxor". The full-day tour includes a visit to the Valley of the Queens and the Valley of the Artisans (2). Lunch in a restaurant during the excursion. Option for an optional excursion to the Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Nag Hammadi.
Day 8:
After breakfast, check-out and transfer to Hurghada by bus. On the way, you will visit the Temple of Goddess Hathor in Dendera (1.2) and then continue to Hurghada. A packed lunch is included. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Hurghada.

The ship has a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant offers delicious dishes for your culinary needs. A reading corner and a lounge bar complement the offer. A jeweler and a bazaar invite you to browse. There is also a billiard room on board. On the spacious sun deck with a pool and bar, you can relax and enjoy your vacation.
