Turaco Nungwi Resort, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel ****

The Turaco Nungwi Resort, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel is located at the northern tip of the Spice Island of Zanzibar on one of the island's most beautiful white sandy beaches. The resort is 90 minutes from Abeid Amani Karume International Airport and the historic Stone Town.

The beautiful and spacious complex (formerly Doubletree by Hilton) features 98 well-equipped rooms, a reception, 2 restaurants (Ngalawa, Fisherman's Grill) and 3 bars (Pool Bar, Beach Bar and Fisherman's Bar), an outdoor pool with a swim-up bar, and various small shops. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the complex. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and bath towels are included at the beach and by the pool.

These nicely furnished rooms have a balcony or terrace, queen or twin beds, a bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, ceiling fan, coffee/tea set, minibar, safe, iron and ironing board, LED TV, and air conditioning. They face the garden (D/DE). Rooms with pool view can also be booked for an additional charge (DP/DEP).
