Location
This luxurious beach resort is situated directly on the beautiful northeastern coast of Zanzibar, on a pearly white, fine sandy beach.
From here, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Indian Ocean.
Surrounded by approximately 15 hectares of tropical gardens with over 1000 palm trees, the resort is one of Zanzibar's most prestigious hotel complexes.
The Abeid Amani Karume International Airport is about 50 minutes away. In the vicinity, you will find restaurants, bars, a pharmacy, and a medical center.
Facilities
The complex, designed in a typical local style, has a total of 130 rooms.
Your holiday resort features a lobby with a reception and an internet corner, Wi-Fi, a buffet restaurant, and 3 themed restaurants (including an Indian, an Italian, and a Wok restaurant). The Indian restaurant is located at the Sultan Sands Island Resort & Spa. Reservations are required and included in the All-Inclusive concept. Bluebay guests also have the option to use the restaurants at the sister hotel Sultan Sands (but not vice versa). During lunchtime, the two à la carte restaurants, Bahari Grill and Blue Marlin, can also be used (for a fee and with prior reservation). Additionally, there is a cafe, a pool bar, and two swimming pools as well as a whirlpool in the beautiful garden area.

Destination information
Please note that hotel check-in, regardless of arrival time, is from 2 PM or 3 PM onwards.
We would like to inform you that all airlines from Tanzania are currently on the EU's so-called ‘blacklist’. For this reason, they are currently not authorized to operate long-haul flights to the EU. We are therefore not currently using any of these airlines for our long-haul flights to the EU.
The lack of authorization is not due to specific safety problems with the individual airlines, but rather to the inspection and safety procedures of the Tanzanian aviation authority, which do not currently meet the safety requirements of the EU.
However, the airlines that we use for domestic flights (for example, for transfer flights from Zanzibar to mainland Tanzania) are subject to the international safety assessment ISSA of the IATA (International Air Transport Association) or a comparable safety assessment. These assessments correspond to the globally recognised safety standards of the aviation industry.
