The property features an air-conditioned lobby, an extensive pool area with several swimming pools (including two exclusive for the Preferred Club, one of which is adults only), a children's pool, 1 buffet restaurant, 6 à-la-carte gourmet restaurants, 11 bars (3 of them exclusive to the Preferred Club), a snack grill, a burger restaurant, Coco Cafe as well as an ice cream parlor. The Preferred Club area with its concierge service offers an exclusive section with private check-in, a separate swimming pool, 3 additional bars, and enhanced services and room amenities. Through the Dine-Around program, guests can spend the evening at participating Dreams and Sunscape Resorts & Spas, enjoying dinner, bars, and entertainment (from 6 pm to 1 am, transfer for a fee, reservations required). Adult guests at Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa have unlimited access to the neighboring Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa, which offers 11 more restaurants and 7 bars.

The Junior Suites (approx. 56 m²) feature a king-size or two queen-size beds, air conditioning, bathroom with shower, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers, daily stocked minibar with beer, water, and soft drinks, flat-screen TV, coffee and tea maker, iron and ironing board, safe, 24-hour room service and furnished balcony or terrace with whirlpool (J2G/J1G). Also bookable with limited sea view (J2S).

Have the same amenities as the Junior Suites Garden/Poolside, with direct pool access and located on the ground floor (JSO).

Most rooms in the Caribbean are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no additional beds are placed in the room, meaning occupancy: 2 persons per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

All meals served buffet style, lunch and dinner also à la carte (no reservation required), 24-hour snacks, national and international alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at bars from 10 am to midnight, then limited service via room service, 24-hour room and front desk service, beach towels and loungers. In the Dominican Republic, sinks or bathtubs/whirlpools may be openly integrated in the main living area of the hotel room without spatial separation.

During a stay between April and December, an increased occurrence of sea grass and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. Especially the frequent emergence of brown algae in the Caribbean can be noted. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities make every effort, in cooperation with municipal administrations, to clean affected beach sections. However, the use of appropriate machinery is required, which causes a slight noise level.
